I wanted to offer my help to any houston area bueller who is needing cleanup or otherwise on home, property, or autos. We all tend to take care of our own issues without asking for help mostly ,but sometimes a bit extra helps a lot. Pm me if you need and we'll get together. Only one of us I heard from was buewulf and he and his fam were good yesterday morning. Of course worst is over, but now we have local rivers that are gonna crest soon. What a system we have created , eh? Wishing everyone a good week and ride safe! |

All is good here, Sage, but thank you. We are fortunate but so many others are not and are dealing with real tragedies. Thank goodness for the Red Cross. We support their great efforts and encourage everyone to do so. Hope all is good with you, Sage. |

Son lives here in angleton as well. All we got was a lot of rain but no flooding. Daughter lives up in porter , kingwood area and no issues other than couldn't get out of subdivision at all. She n nix are shut out of schools so all is good there I f you like missing work and kindergarten. Actually, she doesn't live too far from buewulf. Time will tell on how all of this is handled by authorities. Prime example of life and lemonade. Take care buellerxt! |

We made it through over in League City. I hope all the other Buellers did as well. I saw a picture in the news showing a guy in his garage looking at his HD with water up to the hand grips. It was a sick feeling for sure. Thanks for checking. |

Glad to hear you fared well, jim2. Hoping to hear from a few more with good news but time will tell! Goe advertising a bike night in alvin tonight. Angleton doesn't have any kind of a venue to do such a gig. Just sharing. Take care jim2! |

Court, the rivers have all crested. Many are still above flood stage, but most places are above water again. On to important issues. Make sure you hit a place called Perry's Steakhouse. Order the pork chop. I'd be happy to show you how to eat one, if you need a dinner date. |

That's a decent hotel. Only thing that sucks about it is parking is valet only. Makes it difficult to come and go on a whim. |

Mmmm...Perry's Pork Chop Wednesday. A might fine recommendation! Court, I shouldn't have to say this but make sure your Uber driver doesn't drive around any barricades. I hope you have a good week. Let us know if you need anything. |

>>>>>I shouldn't have to say this but make sure your Uber driver doesn't drive around any barricades. Hahahaha . .. I am piloting some sort of souped up Dodge Charger . . haven't been here since when the built The Woodlands. Strange to see roads with no garbage on them . . . no squeege-men or pan-handlers and no potholes. Should have see the significant other when the asked if we had handguns to check at the desk. I love Texas. |

You wouldn't recognize The Woodlands today. |

True bout the no garbage on roadways or any other of the things you mentioned, but your seeing the fresh washed houston. Stay longer than the 5 days originally planned and it will all reappear! Just houston being houston. |

How do you like the humidity? There's a little more than normal right now. |

>>>>How do you like the humidity? Hahahahaha . . . . don't even start with me about Houston humidity. I've always joked that either Biloxi or Houston was the "home of humidity". My big mouth got me in trouble when we were building The Woodlands. One of my crews had some trenching, about 100' of trench 18" deep, to install in connection with installing some inductive detector loops in a drive . . to count cars coming in and out of the mall. They started loading up a trencher at our office in Kansas to head to Houston and I asked them "why the hell are you taking a machine all that way . . . . I could dig it by hand". The next thing you know . . . I'm in pickup headed down I-35 toward Houston. I got in late and was at The Woodlands by about 8am and started digging with my spade. The temps were headed into the 90's and the humidity had to be pushing 90%. I dug for hours and eventually had the trench dug, got the conduit all put together, installed and the trench backfilled. By the time that I got back to my hotel I looked like I'd been drug through a swamp. In Houston it takes about 45 seconds of outdoor work to have you completely soaked. I should have learned to keep my big mouth shut . . . I'm not sure the lesson took. It's nice to be back here . . . great folks, food and gorgeous place. |

Ya gotta love Houston . . . http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/681 7/783954.html?1461362335#POST2539455 Off to check out something called the "Historic Magnolia Ballroom" . . . . we'll see. I'm impressed. Houston folks know how to live . . . Hahahaha |

One of my favorite stores is in Houston- Southpaw Guitars. If you're not a lefty, you won't appreciate how cool it is to find a store with a couple of hundred left-handed guitars hanging on the wall and a couple of "token" right-handed ones too. (Message edited by Hughlysses on April 22, 2016) |

no squeege-men or pan-handlers and no potholes Don't count your chickens. They're there. However, the suburbs of Welcome, TX are free from that type of road hazard. Come. Sit. Stay. Good dog... |

Arf. I will be back. Wait? . . has that line been used? I told a little lie today . . . . . to wit:
quote:this is about as humid as it gets in Houston
If I get struck by lightning . . . I wanted you to know why. Loved the video ! ! |

I grew up there, High School in Conroe, way before The Woodlands. That is why I live in Colorado with its single digit humidity. Z |
