The socket one reminds me of something: My 1985 CRX was sent to the junkyard with a craftsman 10mm socket somewhere in the headlight area.

I can't keep a 10mm socket to save my life. I now buy them 10 at a time from Harbor Freight, because for SOME reason, they disappear into the ether when you drop them.

Scientists would be interested to know that a portal to another dimension or universe exists just a few inches from whichever hand used to contain the tool I just put down.

Those portals are also found in clothes dryers. Next door to Narnia is a land of single socks and 10mm sockets. 14mm sockets with 9/16" nuts stuck in them live in a space warp with my large Phillips screwdrivers.

And all these years I have been blaming my wife and the $1000 Washing machine she insisted we buy.

Washing machines and portal hell, try having a pet raccoon!! They love shiny things and once they steel it you have to fight to get it back!!

Apparently I touched a nerve. I too have dropped sockets, nuts, bolts and various bits into VERY inconvenient places. Dryer theory makes sense since it is hot and spinning.
