Yep, they were awesome back in the day. I saw them as the headline act at "August Jam" at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 1974 (complete with quadrophonic PA system!). Emerson had a grand piano that raised up and then rotated end over end while he played during one song.
Dang, just saw this in the news. My wife and I spent many hours in the 70's listening to their recordings. Keith was so brilliant at the keyboard...so sad to see this. I'll have to take the 911 out and listen to Brain Salad Surgery.
