I've had a couple more earlier this year. Light ones fortunately, but the Doc says "every seizure matters" (maybe I ought to start a hashtag or something) and upped my meds, I like it that he starts out as light as possible and works up gradually with regards to meds. silly me! thought I might get off them one day. so comes the time I dread, I need to sell the Buell She's been sitting for a while now, only going around the block once or twice every once in a while I hate it when good bikes just sit they're made to ride, not sit in the garage I loath that, and right now I'm doing what I loath it's time to let someone else enjoy my bike, hopefully as much as I enjoyed it I know she's not worth much with over 74 thousand miles on the clock so hopefully I'll find someone that "needs" the bike as much as I hate to let her go Thanks for listening  | ||

Yeah buddy, that's definitely tough to do. When you've LIVED so much on a set of two wheels, it's like losing a part of your body. Sounds like you're gonna keep some moto-toys around for your required dosage of shits and giggles though... I know you'll make the most of it! Seizures... we're taking our little "One-Eyed-Jack-HaHa" Rocky to the vet Wednesday to check his phenobarbital levels, anticipating his 3rd bump up in dosage. (A Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix, he went blind in one eye after his first grand-mal seizure- hence One-Eyed-Jack-HaHa.  ) Almost always he's in bed with us when he has an episode- truly a $hitty way to be woken up! On the WAAY plus side, he's one of the crazy/happiest doggies we've ever seen, he's ours, and we love him... WELL worth the trouble. Keep your chin up Dave... looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks buddy! | ||

I had a great time the weekend I came down to do the tail swap. Wish I still had that bike... but then I'm also glad its gone. I couldn't ride it without hitting a ton at least once. | ||

Glitch I know where you are in the decision to sell your beloved Buell. Having physical problems of my own that thus far are limiting my riding, but not stopping me, I have decided to hang on to my Uly as long as I can. But I too absolutely hate to have a great machine set and rot. It was made to run and it needs to. I sold my City-X for that same reason. I bought it new in 05. When the Uly came out in 06 I bought that. The poor ole City-X sat in the shed only being ridden once in three months. So I sold it. These things are hard to send away, no matter the price. That's probably how it started for most of us. As long as it finds another good home. My back has been acting up lately which is a bit discouraging. Riding results in fairly severe pain. I still do it...every day. I'll have to figure out how to fix myself, I guess. This is the first year I'm starting to feel my age. Some of you guys have had to endure much worse, I know. | ||

Thanks everyone for your support. Its been a hard week, and your support has helped more than any of y'all could ever know. Upping the anticonvulsant wasn't as hard to get used to, as it was starting the program in the first place, and going through all that was one of my fears. My fears weren't unfounded though, it was just like I thought it was going to be, just not as long lasting thank goodness! | ||

I'd love to Mark, but not having a driving license has made it very difficult. Ann has night blindness, so that's a factor too. Now, maybe you could talk Charlie into going... Hey Bart, you have plenty of time it seems. The only people that have had any interest want just bits of it. I'd hate to part it out, it just wouldn't be right. It'd be like selling my favorite rabbit, one lucky rabbit's foot at a time.. | ||

I don't know if I can make it or not. I am sans 2 wheeled transpo these days. I sold the CityX several years ago and have yet to go back to another. I have a Jeep these days and attempt to get it stuck in a tree or two on occasion. Did TWO re-open? I saw a few pics that were taken recently in the other thread. | ||

Did TWO re-open? Yes, it's now called TWoS, Two Wheels of Suches. It's all cleaned up, renovated and being run very well by Bill and Mary. We'll be there April 1-3 for Glitch Badness 2... In fact, I'll be there tomorrow with my wife for breakfast and take a spin around the mountains. |
