Well for the last few weeks I have managed to get myself addicted to You Tube videos of ABBA. I had forgotten how good they were hadn't really listened to them since the late 70s. What really surprised me was the quality of most of the videos compared to the MTV era stuff that came out later. There is a lot of consternation over the fact they never made any music after 1982. I have to agree with that but I fell the opportunity was lost by the girls they were ABBA. Yes I know they guys wrote the songs and the music but the girls made it special they were both very good singers but when they sang together it was magic. And when I say addicted I mean up till 2 in the morning watching the computer. | ||

Personally, my favorite pop band is/was Crowded House. Saw them on their first tour in 1985, loved them ever since... hated that their drummer, Paul Hester, decided to off himself years later. He really provided the glue for the harmonies, with superb skills on the skins. Abba is/was very cool though, a phenomenon. |
