I've been using Amazon... free shipping on a lot of them. What brand and sizes do you need? I'll see if I can get a deal with free shipping on my Prime membership. |

+1 on Amazon. Seems like no single place has the best deal every time, so Amazon makes fining the best deal a lot simpler. |

I use Amazon a lot but I've always went through rockymountainatv.com for tires. Mostly because I live in California and by using them I get free shipping and pay no taxes. |

I got the Michelin Pilot Activ tires for my '77 R100RS. I see the proper sizes on amazon.com with free shipping. |

I just bought two Michelin Commander 2 tires for my Roadster from Dennis Kirk. They had the best price. I usually buy from American Moto Tire, Competition Accessories or Dennis Kirk as they usually have the best deals I can find. I've been avoiding Amazon ever since they started adding Mass. Sales Tax to my purchases. |

I've been buying from Revzilla, if they are not the cheapest they will price match, but given how good their service is I don't mind spending a couple bucks more. |

The thing I like best about using Amazon prime is, they pay shipping in both directions if for some reason I need to send them back. |

Here's a throwback idea: a local dealer. I don't want the hassle of mounting street tires when my local shop will do it for $20-$25. So, I finally asked them how close they can come to my best researched internet to-my-door price, since I had to take the wheel to them to mount anyway. They have been able to match or come close enough to internet price each time I have done this over the past couple years. I just did this on a Michelin Pilot for the Buell front, and a Conti TKC70 rear for the KTM. They beat the internet price on the Michelin (it was a non-current model and they had it in stock). They were just a few dollars more on the TKC70, but it saved me time, as they can get Parts Unlimited stuff often the same day (or next) due to our location right near their warehouse. Just something to think about. Let your local dealer make the decision if he wants your business badly enough or not. |

Tim- I've already gotten a quote from my good friends down the road, local, who run Dual Sport Touring... I go to them first because they KNOW their stuff, are very thorough, and are just good peeps. My friend Megan was very up-front that her price may not come close to online stores, and she said no harm no foul if I went that way. Thanks all for the tips... the Beemer goes to Vern's this Sunday to have the fairing done, then my mechanic for a tuneup and tires, then... Suches! |

Looks like prices have plateau'ed on the tires I need/want, whether it's Amazon or anyone. I'm gonna blow about $215 for tires and tubes if I go Avon, or more if I go Metzeler, which I used on my old R65. Dang price of gas is going up quick though! "Summer blend" was blamed in a piece I read recently... to that. |

Yeah; and next fall, the price will go up because they'll have to switch to "Winter blend". They pull that crap nearly every year. |

I have decided to just go to a local independent shop, the price after install is the same as buying on the internet and then having them install it if I bring them the wheel. http://microbore-inc.com/ Unless you are installing and balancing yourself, hopefully you have a similar shop near you. |
