Smells bad to me. Had it sitting for 5 years and never tried to get a new title. Now he's selling it way below market value "for parts", but claiming you can simply get a replacement title with a bill of sale.  | ||

I have seen what some of these criminal types are doing. They go get the biggest title loan that they can get for what ever vehicle they have, take the cash, then sell the vehicle for cash again, without a title, then default on the loan, letting the loan company try to repo their now missing collateral. If their credit is bad and they don't concern themselves with the future, they can get more than retail for the vehicle. I figured this out with a local guy who was defaulting on his house and running up bad loans where ever he could to raise cash to leave town. His wife left him, his credit was shot, he did not have a job, and he was about to take off. I don't condone fraud, but some of these 92% interest loan sharks deserve to eat what they sow at least once in a while. | ||

I doubt it's stolen. Trying to get a lost title from another state in Mass is close to impossible. Took me a few YEARS to get a title for a scooter that I bought out of state with a salvage title. Most guys I know that need a title will have someone in another state title it for them in that state and go from there. | ||
