Fit is number one! Nolans seem to fit me best as I have an oval head. The old BMW/Schuberth seemed to fit well also. Finding one that fits you means you will wear it. I do wear mine 90% of the time but once in a while on lonely back roads it's nice to don a hanky helmet and be in the wind, especially when it's over 100. Soak you hanky in water and cool your head! |

I feel that convenience is more important even than fit, although fit is a part of being convenient. The helmet not worn is of no value no matter how well it fits, and bluetooth/music from my phone in the helmet means it goes from being a burden to a welcome addition to my riding gear. |

No one else has said it, So, the RF1200 does squeeze my cheeks on my face more than I like. But tolerable. |

Several years ago I had replaced my old HJC helmet for an Icon helmet, I was happy with the fit/quality of the helmet, but it just seemed louder inside then my old HJC. I ended up selling that to a buddy and bought a Shoei RF1000, thinking it may have been quieter, it fit me well after buying smaller cheek pads, but needless to say, seemed like it wasn't any quieter then the cheaper helmet. |

Just picked up a Bell Star Carbon. Lovely helmet. A tad noisy but the airflow is off the charts good. |
