"Warmed over," I believe, is the term. |

resembles nothing of the 156 project...wow...that was disappointing
The only thing that resembles the 156 are the round rubber things wrapped around the rims... |

The only thing that resembles the 156 are the round rubber things wrapped around the rims... Well that's quite the exaggeration. You can clearly see Victory badges on both bikes. Sheesh! |

Yes, the stinking batches are similar...as are the valve stem caps. I'm seeing the resemblance now...count two cylinders as well. Yep. It's all there. |

Great job Victory, you just showed me why you don't deserve to be in production. |

I demo rode an Indian Scout back in September 0f '14 when they first came out. It's a nice bike. It makes good, usable power and it's comfortable for short city rides (I demo rode an 1190SX a couple of weeks later, and it was in-freakin'-credible, but that has nothing to do with the topic). I like the styling of the Victory a little better than the styling of the Indian. I'm not a fan of forward controls, but I do like belt drive. If I had to buy either a Scout or an Octane tomorrow, I'd choose the Octane. (But I'd jump at an SX in a heartbeat if I had the money) |

A concept for victory that never came to be Based off of Zach Ness build I have a good friend that is a higher up at Polaris and have talked many times about a real sport victory and Vistory really wants to jump in but it is a very hard market to jump in against Honda and Yami. Kinda like them trying to compete with 4 wheelers and snowmobiles in Polaris world. I have thought about picking up a victory and making my own as they are reasonable in the used market |

To be fair, it's a good looking bike and trounces the Sportster on power for slightly less money... |

If they would jump after the standard market with a rowdy v-twin that isn't made in Japan or Italy???? The biggest hurdle would be marketing it to the right audience. That seems to be everyone's weakness, business wise. I always thought the Harley commercials were custom filmed for impotent wanna be's. The EBR's always drowned the beautiful noise with music. And I'm sure some like it, but the younger generations do not associate cutting edge technology and performance with ZZ top style bar rock. |

Hopefully in a year or so they'll introduce a sportier variation on this bike. Some of the custom Indian Scouts are on the right track for what they could do with this bike. Besides the dirt tracker I posted above, here's one from Austria that's on the right track:
Rearsets, decent suspension, pipes look OK, seat ridiculous. There was a photo of one of the bikes being built for the competition on Facebook a few weeks ago that showed a "standard" style seat on a bike. That bike doesn't show up now so either they changed the seat or the bike didn't get finished. |

Yeah, it is hard to jump into sportbikes against Honda and the others. If only a turnkey American sportbike company had gone for sale recently. |

Y'know, I'm not POSITIVE, but I THINK I read about one recently being floated by a company called Liquid Asset Partners. Anyone else hear anything about this? |

I think it was even V twin powered, should have fit right in. |

Yeah, but you guys are forgetting that with the 1190 engine and associated technology, they would have had to start putting them in other bikes and make true muscle cruisers. |

Sure would have been cool but really to jump into the market would by a company that has only succeeded in a small market and has had isdues several times? EBR is like a struggling musician- no one will sign them till they prove they can build a following and continually be successful. |
