The first realization of Spider Robinson's "StarDance" trilogy.

One of the great writers of the last century, his wife is a choreographer, and his novel of zero gravity dance is memorable.

Tesla speakers are groovy, but very loud.

I watched one of the great fireworks masters of the U.S.'s show when he got a chance to do a period medieval fireworks display. ( at the annual SCA Pennsic War ) Classical fireworks is a hobby of the guy, but most towns or events want modern displays, so he rarely gets to show off. One of the most impressive parts was a "Singing Flame" which is basically a rocket engine in a pipe organ pipe. The 70+ foot column of fire sang a low bass note that echoed through the local valleys. Vibrated my bones a few hundred feet away.

Here's a few pics.

The fortress in the pics is "technically" a snow fence. ( so it doesn't get taxed as a barn ) It's where we, and the Revolutionary, Civil, and French and Indian War reenactors get to play.
