So a little quick history. I was injured back in December of 08 and went into surgery on my lower back 3 weeks later 1-9-2009 I was rushed into the ER appears they punctured my spinal sack and did not fix it, results 3 weeks in Intensive care, bacterial meningitis , 9 more surgeries 2 more years lots of pennant nerve damage. Before this happened I had many trips to the hospital but did not fear any of it after that scares the crap out of me.
Fast forward to this past week I had a weird ingrown hair on my chin By Tuesday it was the size of a golf ball. Went to the doctor they said its swelling in the skin nothing to drain gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. Wednesday evening ended with me in the ER from the pain and it was huge Diffrent Dr said same thing and gave me vicodine. Thursday sitting at work and all of a sudden I have yellow goo dribbling from my chin so I go see the first Dr she says again nothing she can do so of to the hospital and I get an awesome dr that looks like he would be on a Harley and has the mouth of a truck driver. First thing he says is the infection I have is immune to the medicine I was given and this would not heal if we did not drain and clean it. He took care of it and all is good.

More and more going to the doctor or a hospital feels like being livestock and going to a vet.

I had a bunch of dental work done recently and all the folks I dealt with were nice...even the guy that pulled my teeth was cool.

Its like flipping a coin you dont know who you will get. My biggest thing is after all my previous stuff I know my body more tgen a person should have to. I had the head guy at the center for desease control at my side for 2 yrs and was studied by many because of the unreal stuff that happened. I even took the marker and put the X on my head where they needed to go through my skull to relieve pressure Dr was amazed I could feel it that precise.
Enough rambling point is when someone comes in they need to look at them and hear what they are saying this was a life threatening infection. It could have also eaten my jaw bone away. When I sayvthere is something wrong arghg listen should not take 4 diffrent visits to get help.
These are not me but are pretty sim to what I had mine swelled from my throat to my lips

And this is what it looks like after the drain it as the infection eats your flesh!

Glad to hear you are on the mend. My last annual checkup in October, my Doc actually made an unsolicited comment about the paperwork they are subject to now. As if practicing medicine wasn't hard enough on it's own.

ObamaCare: Death by paperwork

quote:

ObamaCare regulations compel doctors and their office staff, business owners, local officials and virtually everyone else subject to the law to spend hours filling out paperwork with no pay for their labor. It’s a colossal theft.

Now four years old, ObamaCare imposes 159 million hours of paperwork a year on the public. That’s the administration’s own estimate, undoubtedly a lowball.

Even so, it’s up by 48 million hours over last year, when fewer regulations had been rolled out. And there’s more to come.

Similar to a spider bit same type of infection but this started as an ingrown hair in a small scar on my chin and literally was swollen from my bottom lip to my Adam's apple and it was only 4 days to do that.
