I would imagine that if you needed one of those parts, or several of those parts, $1000 wouldn't be out of the question. | ||

If it had a title, it might be closer... But are these Aeromachi machines of any value? They turn up on Craigslist locally pretty regularly for under $1000, if they are of value I'd certainly pick up a basket case next time a good one comes around. I just figured they are some of the least desirable HD machines and haven't really looked into them. | ||

A friend of mine has one in great shape and just had the engine fully restored. They are cheap to buy, but very expensive to restore, and I think the people that know how to restore them (the motors at least) have a pretty high primadonna factor (so you get it when you get it, you use the parts he gave you and stop your whining, etc). They are cool looking bikes when intact. I think it's a two stroke... | ||

I've had three of those "Italy" bikes.Bought a doner engine on ebay a while back for $45.00.. and it needed nothing except cylinder and head. Bought NOS ebay cylinder for $50.. and a head for $15.00. Fair to nice running ones can be had for less than a grand. Restored and concourse ones bring 2 to 4 grand. I just have to vent when somebody pulls out a $25.00 pile of crap and wants top shelf price for it. My 100cc Baja that I got back after 28 years and several owners and sitting in a grove for a couple of years... was given to me. It puts that ebay 125cc to shame as far as condition. I watch ebay for the 125 cc's,just by chance to see if my old 69 would ever show up. As bad as I would want that bike back,I'd let him keep it for that price..............OH well......... | ||

A friend of mine had a Baja 100 and being Italian the wiring was in series and he kept blowing tail light bulbs which would kill the ignition. He carried a pocket full of bulbs around to he wouldn't get stranded! The bike ran good when it was running! | ||

Greg_e, a local fella that "wasn't quite all there" rode one of those M-50's to Sturgis and back in the early 70's. That would be a long ride on a slow bike. Maybe a 1,300 mile round trip. First sorta real motorcycle I ever rode was an M-50 of the neighbors.....hand grip shifter and all .... | ||

LOL the tail light was in series with the points or something? Probably the coil. All I know for sure is when the tail light blew nothing worked. |
