"When a liberal goes on a tirade about how dumb and dangerous Senator and Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is—a tirade devoid of specific examples of Cruz’s mendacity—that person is actually signaling to others that he or she is virtuous."

I see this applying to prog posters occasionally.

My favorite is when people talk about poisoning the planet with exhaust fumes (or climate variations) and then drive to the gym to exercise

What if they live 15 miles from the gym and it's winter time, what should they do?

I just saw a film about a couple building a tiny house to "make a smaller footprint on the earth."
they wanted to use barn wood for the interior and shake shingles for the out side. stained glass windows, and they were insistent on having "everything"
well as it turned out, their tiny home was so heavy, they had to buy a new truck to haul it.

Drive a Prius.

When I didn't live as far away I'd ride my bicycle to work about half the time...not to reduce my carbon footprint, but because I like to.

I sometimes ask people I know to be regressive who they really don't like running for President.

After politely listening to a fact free rant on how motherffffffing evil ( lets say...) Rubio is, I thank them for their opinion. If I'm really feeling mean, I thank them for convincing me to vote for the object of their rage.

Check out the psych article over on the "never again" thread. Thanks Rick.
