OH. YEAAHHH.

My fave radio station WDVX plays him, simply amazing. Next time he comes to town, I'm definitely going to a show!

Thanks for sharing!

I've been fortunate enough to see Tommy live a couple of times. Simply the best guitarist ever IMHO. I'll see him every chance I get. Amazing.

A resophonic ("reverberator" in my neck of the woods) sings with the voices of angels.

Dang computer wasn't cooperating last nite...

For the Dobro- Rob Ickes, "Slide City"
For a sound like Mark Knopfler on LSD- Bill Frissell, "Gone, Just Like A Train"
For a 4 string electric bass played like 3 people playing simultaneously- Victor Wooten, "A Show Of Hands"
For an exquisite showcase on banjo- Bela Fleck, "Tales From The Acoustic Planet"

Years ago I saw Bela Fleck and the Flecktones for the first time(Wooten is bassist in the band) playing at Legislative Plaza in Nashville- not only is Victor Wooten a bass savant, he can do a standing backflip WHILE PLAYING, never missing a note!

Don't miss any of these folks if you can see them live.

Alfau and I are in agreement on something.

David Gilmour is one of the best of all time. His soaring licks take you to another place. But don't forget the likes of Randy Rhoades. Or the sensuous sounds of Carlos Santana. Abraxas is one of the few old albums I never tire of. Samba Pa Ti takes me back to my youth and the sweet mystery of my first serious girl friend.
