Obama is the real Sith Lord. Sorry, but the man has certainly "transformed America " and not for the better. His legacy of destruction will live on for decades. EBR has made it's own mistakes but it's future certainly is bleaker than it should have been if the economy and confidence of the American people wasn't beat all to hell. | ||

That's kinda exactly my point, Rein. I rarely EVER talk politics, but I do think about the topic a lot... and I vote. . I leave it in the voting booth, and go on to live my life. In the beginning, I assumed that the BW was all about Buell MoCo, AND THE BIKES. Of course, the QB was intended to be a catch all thread, which really is a good thing and quite fun most of the time. It has become quite apparent that a significant percentage of folks here can't cogitate without automatically going rabid and frothing at the mouth about he who shall not be named. In all seriousness, I do believe EBR would have had a better shot at success if the economy were booming. Maryland, overall, has a pretty good standard of living and I've noticed the motorcycling climate isn't what it used to be. Several non-HD brand motorcycle dealers have closed and I haven't seen the large number of sport bikes I have in the past. I have to believe lack of faith in the economy is partially to blame. | ||

I would might still have my old job if he didn't get elected in 08. (well maybe I would have quit after a couple years) He was the sole reason the business I was in flopped to where I personally wasn't needed. (could it have been me?? In other news, shipbuilding is on the rise. I do like the design idea of the new Esb class ships. Cristy just lowered the taxes to 3.5% for new boats sold in jersey. Hopefully that bring back business here. |
