Legal purchased, but did they say un-modified as well? My guess is whatever neutering they do for the CA version of the weapons can be undone. Am I wrong?
The sheriff here in Fresno County gives out the CCW permits like candy. I have a 2-year old letter authorizing me to get one, but I have been too lazy to do the class or more accurately, I have never felt the burning desire to pack. That might change now for a couple different reasons, assuming my letter is still good. There was no expiration date on it. How CA is screwing potential CCW people is by out-lawing the firearms that make for concealable weapons. SO I can get the CCW permit, but finding a good .32 auto with 5/6 in the clip is not possible now. AFAIK. Someone more versed in the ever-changing CA gun laws can probably do better at explaining the whole mess. | ||

Yes, .380 would work very nicely and I like that piece. I actually meant to say 380 in my last post interestingly enough. It would work for the application nicely. How sure are you this is still legal in CA? | ||

The Governor of NY the other day was commenting on the conviction of the Speaker of the Assembly, for corruption. The Governor stated there was no need for new laws, since what the Speaker did was already illegal. However. When it comes to Guns, no law Broken in the course of a crime matters, He Demands New Laws to "stop the violence". OTOH, it's understandable from his perspective. He took ( I could be off a bit on the numbers ) 45 Million $ from the same law firm that paid 4 million $ to the Speaker, and obviously doesn't want any new law that would get him convicted. When he started his first term, Emperor Andrew appointed a commission to root out corruption, to much fanfare and publicity. When the commission started to investigate the people that bribed the Governor, ( and several other State Legislators ) he had the commission shut down. Vicious, Vindictive, Dishonest, and Intolerant. That's the Nice things I can say about our Governor. He wants to be President, and thinks Guns are the right cause to get him there. May the Powers protect us if Hillary goes down, because Andrew is just biding his time. ( and is too smart to go against a Clinton. They would demolish him ) | ||

No idea. I found a site selling it and shipping to California was an option. Far as I know, it has to be on a list to be legal, but I couldn't find that list. A local gun shop should be able to tell you. | ||

Someone please help me out here, but I thought that things such as 30rnd mags etc were legal if they were grandfathered in (ie, you had them before the laws changed etc). Any CA people want to help on this one? | ||

Any CA people want to help on this one? I believe that to be true, but... I believe CA also requires that the magazine release require a tool to operate. Simple, cheap, and illegal to undo. My understanding is that the standard tool for this has become the tip of a bullet. | ||

Approved handguns in CA: http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/ I went looking last week. Shocked to see how small the list is now. Many manufacturers are telling CA to shove it. New additions to the list need to have microstamp technology I'm told... Decided now or never (until we move) and bought a XD Sub-9, halfway through the 10-day now. Can't wait to get it, San Bernardino County sheriff is very 2nd Amendment friendly and CCW is about $450. Libs here are beating the drums to ban the grandfathered +10 mags, and even CA-neutered AK/AR can only be sold with a fixed 10-round. All this crap doesn't do squat to stop crime, yesterday is prime example. | ||

Come on now, go big or go home. 1911 in .45ACP, full frame. I usually carry this or a 3.8" XDm in various flavors. Just waiting on my custom built 1911 now.  Just imagine, had there been just 2 or 3 concealed carriers in the general vicinity, it could have been much less for the carnage. | ||

Media sure has seemed to have walked softly about this being done by Muslim terrorists. Even after providing evidence that the wife was linked through her home land. Like Calif is trying to be really PC towards their fellow Muslim population. This is real close to the definition of how a sleeper terrorist works. So he was pissed at a fellow worker, that may have tripped the trigger, but the guns/bombs were already loaded and cocked. I think L.A. area just passed something that outlaws mere possession of any magazine over 10 capacity. I hope there are exceptions for tube-fed .22 rifles, or I guess those are illegal too now. | ||

Cincinnati had that same rule, equally badly written. Something like any weapon capable of even using a high capacity magazine was illegal, so a 10/22, even if you didn't have a 25 round magazine, was illegal, because someone somewhere could put a 25 round mag on one. Really stupid. | ||

That Kahr .380 is legal in CA, provided it has the fandangled things CA makes the new guns have...ie. the microstamping, the "round in the chamber" indicator & "you can't shoot the gun with clip out" safety. All new since I purchased my .40 many moons ago....probably adds $100 to the cost of each CA gun. Nice. All that being said, I just purchased this sweet little thing. Felt very well built. Bought it without even firing it based on internet reviews and recommendations from my local gun shop. 10 days and I pick it up.... Sig Sauer P238  | ||
