Prayers for the fallen and wounded, huge kudos to the police for swift action and thankfully no fatalities among their ranks as they zeroed in on the scum. Put the animals down a few hundred feet from one of my work buildings.

Dems are blaming the guns already, looks like it may be something other than "workplace violence" much to O's consternation I'm sure. CAIR is doing some serious damage control early.

Feels like terrorism to me folks, wonder how this gets spun...

Obama. I blame the human beings pulling the trigger.

Terrorism? Why that target? I heard it was possibly a dispute gone bad at a company Holiday party. Seems like a weekly occurrence now.

Welcome to the future of America.

I have a hard time with the idea that it was simply a dispute that got out of hand. There was planning and collusion behind this act. I would like many for facts before jumping to conclusions though.

My wife just made an interesting comment that completely went over my head. "Do you think they were just looking for a Christmas party?" After explaining her thinking that a Christmas party would theoretically be full of people celebrating the birth of Christ, i.e. a room full of Christians... Well I can see her point.

Still, we need more information before jumping to conclusions. It certainly looks like Islamic terrorism is a possibility though.

Hard to say... Could have been both. Sounds like there was a marriage gone south, and a work issue where he was asked to leave the party, but (a) I'm not really interested in studying the guy and (b) even if I was I doubt the media is getting it right at this point.

Jihadists feed on anger. So when you want to blame somebody and strike out for life circumstances that make you angry, and a Jihadist manipulator can convince you it's somebody elses fault and that it is an injustice (an easy sell under the circumstances), you become their puppet.

So there may actually not be that big a difference between "workplace violence" and "Jihaddist violance". Heck, I'm not sure Timothy McVeigh was much different. Same equation, different variables.

My prayers for those impacted, and for the country in how we react.

Oh, just reread the article. The wife apparently was working with him on the attack, not his first victim.

That changes things pretty dramatically.

And what the hell is the "California State Board of Equalization" anyway? Welcome to Orwell's 1984.

Agreed there needs to be much more investigation. Feds were on this FAST yesterday, and I'm betting there's immense pressure on the FBI to move the assessment toward workplace violence. It did happen at a workplace after all. IIRC Fort Hood and Oklahoma were decided to be workplace violence even though the POS's were shouting allahu akbar.

Need much more info, but again IMO this ain't workplace violence...

Anyone else catch the smirking in the CAIR press conference? I think we're in for it as a nation.

I am beginning to believe that the only way to curb this trend is to go Mid-evil on their asses! First take the government out of the way, make this recovery program a business for profit. For profit will get things done and prove out the power of Capitalism once again. Political correctness needs to be neutralized for this program.

Starting with ANYBODY(terrorist/copy cat/nut case/religious warrior/doesn't matter who) caught or killed committing these acts, should be fed to hyenas or lions or bears or even sharks, in a public way, whether they are alive or dead. Off season Sports Arenas would work great, charge for a ticket and TV rights like a ball game, a fair percentage of collected monies to go to the victims families of course.

Then a prayer service for the killers can be held in a couple of days over a pile of animal shit that their remaining family members have to shovel into a pile in front of the Press. Doesn't matter if it is mommy and daddy, Grammy or Grampy living in the subdivision down the street, they raised and therefore trained(or did not train)the guilty party. When they say "Oh I'm sorry my kid killed all of those people, I don't know where my adult child went wrong" while they sit on their couch eating popcorn while talking to reporters, won't be accepted anymore.

This, simply as a deterrent for future mass killers once they see how they will pass to a "better place". After seeing a few of their fellow negative thinkers get shredded and eaten they may think about things like "what if the police do not kill me?".

I'm not evil. I, like all of you, have read some books and seen a few epic movies on how these things were effectively handled in Mid-evil and Roman times. American's have become so complacent over the years of good life and prosperity that fighting back in a way that makes those who would do this understand it is not a good thing to be doing. Basic human nature hasn't really changed over the eons.

Peace comes with the comfort provided by a lack of fear. A lack of fear comes with carrying the biggest fear stick. We need to pick up that fear stick and swing that MOFO hard for a while to make these folks understand! Not so much of this keep standing back saying "ouch".

But seriously, I think some ass needs kicked in the early training in the lives of these mass killers.

I thought the cair press conference had about 10% sincerity. Why they rushed to press conference about nothing? They looked like they were hiding their jubilance because they may be getting so much publicity from this incident. But, in fairness, they are just getting started in the press conference business. (That is the first time I saw them at a press conference) still was very weird to me.

I want to hear from the survivors of the party (if there are any) about the killer and what happened. I guess we will know in a day or two as they get released from the hospital. My thoughts and prayers go to all the victims.

I like the way the UK handles it. Keep calm, carry on, avoid the drama that feeds into a cycle of hate and anger, and stay very strong but fairly clinical.

I think the emotion, which I want to feel also, just feeds into the agenda of these terrorists.

Responses are clinical and pragmatic (which doesn't mean they aren't also massive and deadly to those that would harm innocents).

President Obama said the killings were yet more evidence of the need for stricter gun laws.

"The one thing we do know is that we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world," he said in an interview with CBS.

Seeing as California has the strictest "gun control" in the nation, this is a good example of his such measures are meaningless, save for being able to say that something was done, no matter how ineffective.

The media has certainly helped breed this phenomenon, though there are certainly deeper factors to consider.

Farook was a U.S. citizen, born in Illinois, and a five-year employee of the government agency holding the holiday banquet. His co-workers said Farook, a Muslim, had traveled in recent years to the Middle East.

Funny, that.

Make the national speed limit 5mph and then I'll believe someone cares about saving lives. I mean, really. What law could have prevented this shooting? A law against homicide? A law against carrying loaded weaponry without a permit? A law against discharging weapons within city limits?

There is almost no mention of the stuff I was hearing on the scanners last night.

Even some of the feeds that are normally recorded have been removed from the archives.

This shit stinks badly. Hide your guns now.

It is obvious that this is a terrorist attack. Their condo was an IED factory, some attached to radio controlled cars. We just don't know the details. Obama successfully whitewashed the Ft. Hood terrorist massacre as a workplace incident so we may never know the truth of the San Bernadino Christmas Massacre.

The Left agenda is to disarm the population so only the government, criminals, and terrorists will have guns.

War is Here. Stick your head in the sand and blame Republicans but it doesn't change the fact that America is at War.

So it's cool that Obama lets in the Syrian refugees, but I can't own a gun as a US citizen?

Something is SOOOOO wrong with this scenario...

I want to vomit right now.

Now that I read some of the details as they emerge, I tend to agree this is too coordinated to be a spur of the moment attack.

When they start coming for the guns, that's when the shit WILL hit the fans. Oh what fun times we have ahead of us.

ANd people ask me why I choose to NOT bring kids into this ugly world....

Kalifornia neutered it's AR-15 over a decade ago

They say the guns were legally purchased, so that means that had no pistol grips, only 10 round fixed magazines, etc....

Obviously some planning went into this madness. Dropping their 6 month old off at grandma's the night before, armed to the teeth, etc.

Still does not necessarily point to terrorism but isn't all murder terrorism?

"And what the hell is the "California State Board of Equalization" anyway? Welcome to Orwell's 1984."
well...
The State Board of Equalization (BOE) is a public agency charged with tax administration and fee collection in the state of California.

I swear this forum has an unreasonable amount of conspiracy nuts.

"So it's cool that Obama lets in the Syrian refugees, but I can't own a gun as a US citizen? "

I fail to see a correlation. But why can't you own a gun?

Fear helps them establish their rules with less opposition. Anger and over reaction by their opponents (us) causes collateral damage (that they by and in large engineer by hiding among civilians) that then creates anger on their side, making it easier for them to radicalize people and continue the cycle.

No one profits from these attacks but there are certainly groups that use them to further their agenda ... and typically that is to the detriment of personal freedoms.

For SALES tax administration. CA has another entire branch for income tax. Both of course over-reach with their authority because that's the way government IS these days. I work with the SBE often (unfortunately.)

the point is your dear President would LIKE it this way. I don't believe either has happened YET. This SHOULD outrage any American with a stitch of backbone left.

'Yes, Sir. Mr. Obama, Sir. Whatever you say, Sir." that.

This only wants to talk about how bad guns are and not the fact there was more than likely a terrorist act yesterday....

Sure, let the Syrian refugees in and then in the next sentence imply law-abiding American citizens should have MORE gun regs thrown on them.

Maybe, just maybe, if there were some people packing at the the party, this threat would have been cut down before it got bad.

Airbozo, no. All murder is not terrorism. Terrorism is a TACTIC. Traditionally in modern society, it is used to cause the gov. to over react, to sway people to the cause.

Old school, terror is a tool to scare your enemies into giving in with minimal effort. Hard to find more Old school than Islam. Can you think of any other pre-medieval group still terrorizing the planet? ( Rome?)

As to conspiracy nuts. Yep. We got some. Tod, for example.

Consider. Obama promised you can keep your insurance. Leaked memos show his staff was aware that over 200 million Americans would not. ( all the pain on Obamacare doesn't kick in until after he's gone )

Obama said he wasn't going to take our rifles & shotguns. He also promised his donors he would.

That's not paranoia. That's history.
