Wow, the gigantic middle finger flying from the states to the pResident is growing larger by the hour:

quote:

Now, 25 Republican governors – and one Democrat too – have said they don't want Syrian refugees in their states...Republican governors from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Texas and Wisconsin said they would postpone programs to bring in Syrian refugees, or they're against the idea entirely, according to the Associated Press.

Governors of these states have said no to Syrian refugees:

Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
Georgia
Florida
Idaho
Indiana
Illinois
Iowa
Kansas
Louisiana
Maine
Massachusetts
Michigan
Mississippi
Nebraska
New Hampshire
New Jersey
North Carolina
Ohio
Oklahoma
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
Wisconsin

Additionally, CNN reported that Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Nebraska, Ohio and Tennessee are also on the list.

Kansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina were added by USA Today.

Presidential candidate Chris Christie, indicating that New Jersey also isn't on board, and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez also said she opposed the administration's plan.

New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan was the first Democrat to express support for stopping the flow of Syrian refugees into her state.

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad said he wasn't sure if the governors had a legal right to prevent the flow of Syrian refugees into their states because 'this is a federal program,' though USA Today listed his state in the 'nay' column.

...Since Friday's attacks, Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan said his state is postponing efforts to accept Syrian refugees.

Yesterday, Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley said he would refuse Syrian refugees trying to enter the state.

Today Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered that his state's refugee resettlement program not accept any more Syrians.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson tweeted that he opposed Syrian refugees being relocated into Arkansas.

And Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, another GOP presidential contender, issued an executive order to prevent Syrian refugees in the state of Louisiana, according to 4WWL in New Orleans.

Another presidential hopeful, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, is also not on board.

I would like to be a voice of caution.

The vast majority of the refugees are innocent folk, deserving of out aid, ( It is Obama's Wars after all ) and shelter. I suggest Washington D.C. for all the Syrian war refugees.

There is obviously no way to investigate the backgrounds on most of these people. We probably bombed, or Isis burned, the town hall where they came from, so there is no documentation... Are we going to ask Assad for his files?

I have no idea how to solve this problem without intelligent people in charge.

This "states rights" thing seems foolish to me in this context. If you want a Reichstag Fire, this could be it.

I recognize that the current legal immigration and political refugee system does some really good things, but is also to a large degree fubar.

And I can also recognize that bypassing it by executive fiat will likely make that situation even worse.

And recognize that with granting asylum (as we should when we can) will bring some risk, most of which we should manage, and some of which we will have to accept, because we are brave and we are just.

And more Americans, who feel they have the temperament and the physical abilities to do so safely and judiciously, should get a CCW permit and exercise their right to defend themselves and others.

And we should start eliminating (perhaps by law via liability assignment for public places that forcibly disarm people yet allow them to be injured by a malicious individual) these ridiculous "gun free" zones (which also happen to be the exact targets terrorists will go for). Let people carry at a football game, but if the gun shows, charge them with a crime and throw them out of the event.

A problem, of course, is we as a nation can't (or in some cases won't) properly manage that risk. The director of the FBI is on record saying we can't properly vet 'em all.

And more Americans, who feel they have the temperament and the physical abilities to do so safely and judiciously, should get a CCW permit and exercise their right to defend themselves and others.
Agree, but doesn't solve the problem. (I also predict another concerted attempt to erode or take away our Second Amendment rights before the preezy leaves office...if he leaves office...)

I'm no fan of gun-free zones, but eliminating them still doesn't solve the problem; the cancer still exists, and it still metastasizes (quickly, and irreversibly), whether you and I are armed or not.

Citation?

Just logic, can't be more that a few percent of the refugees that are full blown medieval loons who are ready to kill everyone in sight. Call it a few percent more that could go from emo jerk to lunatic given the right incentive, like not getting the parking spot they wanted at Starbucks. So out of 10,000, that's only between say, 50 and 250 that will lay waste to unprotected innocents. ( since they are natural cowards who wouldn't dare confront a real woman face to face. ) Driving through a pre-school yard with a SUV screaming the praises of the Prophet, for example.

Sidwell Friends School Darn, wish I'd thought of that. ; ) No chance, of course, since pretty much the first thing Barry the Weasel did after he lied his way through the oath of office was cancel the program to let the undesirable poor into good schools in D.C.

How so? It's pretty specific that a State can't deny passage from one to another. No chance that Barry will let this slide without taking revenge on those who question his Author-i-tay. And while I'm no lawyer, I don't think the Governor of a State has that kind of power.

...you're not asking me specifically if I want a Reichstag Fire, and no I don't want one...

I should have said, "if you want to predict a Reichstag Fire event, this is a good one".

I just want to remind you that preaching hate for power is what these people Do. It's Who They Are. Innate dishonesty and hate exploitation pretty much sum up their good points.

This anti-refugee sentiment is perfect for self righteous lies about how evil and cruel the Tea Party is, and How Un-American the Republican Party is.

Look at recent history. Barrack Hussein Obama has consistently pushed to overthrow secular governments in Africa and the Middle east, and replace them with Shia medievalist raping murderous thugs. ( it's not what he SAYS he's doing it's just what happens )

Throw in serious anti-European ( anti- Colonial ) hate, passed down from the fictional Father his Mother lied to him about his whole life, and a conversion from Islam to the Demonic perversion of Christianity that is Liberation Theology, ( U.S. Black Urban sub type ) and you have a recipe for classic "counter-coup" crackdowns on civil liberty. ( have you read his biography? ) The coup doesn't have to actually exist, but several Governors defying OBAMA???? He couldn't ask for a better excuse to Federalize Everything.

Now, I'd say the above scenario is far fetched, except we actually have Hillary Clinton's emails telling the partial truth about Benghazi, and CNN has no problem at all, at all, with being the conduit for Total Lie Pravda.

We won't even mention NPR, who, as a representative said, "I mean it's there in those who own newspapers obviously, but no one owns NPR" ( about Jews influencing the news, in a conversation with what they thought was a terrorist organization that would give them money to push Sharia and lie about Israel )

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/03/08/undercover-v ideo-npr-exec-says-npr-would-be-far-better-off-wit hout-federal-funds/

So, how far fetched? Not as far as I'd like.

Hard to say. There have been questions about the stream of refugees, such as why are there so many fighting age males. Far fewer women and children and old folks than your typical group of fleeing refugees. Then you may wonder to your self... Self, would ISIS be stupid enough to not see the potential of using this stream of refugees as a Trojan Horse to send members into enemy territory undetected? You may even wonder to yourself... Self, could ISIS have engineered this refugee crisis for precisely that purpose? How many do you have to slip in to crate a crisis?

I am disgusted and I am beginning to think Obama hates this country. (especially after seeing his past few speeches, specifically the one in Manila) Widows and Orphans?? 80% of the refugees I saw were adult men. (all news reports are lying??) Where are the women and children Obama speaks of??

Would it be so inhumane to have refugee camps in Saudi Arabia or Jordan??? Or are they afraid if they keep them in the desert that ISIS will infiltrate the refugee camps and kill more....??

How about instead of deporting 12 million illegals, starting in 2017, give all illegals 2 years to register for papers. (I am sure over 80% will do it) Make 2019 the year for some very harsh illegal immigrant laws to take effect. 5 years in jail and deport.

How about hiring someone (me?) to sit behind a desk at the DMV and start processing some immigrants?? I have a desk I can bring if you don't have the space. I will fingerprint and photo every illegal that wants to expedite the process to a "legal immigrant". (how about 35.00 a head?) I am also willing to drive to their home if you give me a Gov. gas card. crap... I don't know spanish but I do have Rosetta Stone. (haven't started yet)

I give 'em all the credit in the world for their consistently effective tactics during teh Won's reign. Sure helps to control and drive the narrative when you own the media lock, stock and barrel, eh?

Throw in serious anti-European ( anti- Colonial ) hate, passed down from the fictional Father his Mother lied to him about his whole life...

This, combined with all the other national "community organizing" he's been doing since usurping the White House. Agree, conditions are ripe; we're almost there.

^ From the link:

quote:

Jesse Watters left Juan Williams speechless on "The Five" after a takedown of President Obama's actions in the war on terror.

"I'm actually surprised. Obama usually golfs and flies to fundraisers after terrorist attacks," Watters said. "This time I think he released five guys from Gitmo and then showed up late for a moment of silence for the victims."

"Maybe Obama's got some great hashtags up his sleeve?" he said.

But Watters didn't stop there.

"When you have Bill Maher in France being tougher on terrorism than the President of the United States, you're in a lot of trouble."

Watters noted that Obama has been so distracted fighting the war on cops that he forgot about the war on terror.

And, finally, Watters listed the lies Obama told the American people about the fight against ISIS that the media called him out on.

"It's crazy," Watters said at the end of his litany of Obama's failures -- leaving Juan Williams silent.

That's an epic 1:07 video clip; I'd link it here if I could. Y'all: follow the link.

Stretched FBI braces for Islamic State holiday terror attacks

So how do you feel about our safety these days? Is our government doing a good job of keeping us safe? The FBI seems to think not. I would have some real respect for anyone who would come forward and admit that their support of BO was a mistake. I gather that will not happen though. How is this possible? I really have no idea.

So while this is going on, BO wants to focus on gun control? FU BO! If you aren't going to do your part to keep me and my family safe, you certainly aren't going to disarm me at the same time.

The problem is the continuing corruption of the DOJ in the Obama administration. Once Biden declared that he would not run, the fix was in. The DOJ will never prosecute Clinton no matter what the FBI discovers.

We have a dysfunctional and corrupt Executive Branch many times worse than the Nixon Administration.
