This is a habit of academics, for whom the power of words is supreme, while actual deeds in the real world, including deeds with force behind them, are a lower form of activity. Of course! Marxists love dialectic materialism. The conceit that the argument is the reality. It's a combination tool. By arguing from false assumptions you both cheat at winning the arguments and have a great propaganda tool. A century of Soviet mass economic failure, starvation, ( only saved by Charity from the U.S. & Europe ) shows that the Argument is Not reality. In Marxist countries the Prisoners are kept from leaving by walls, mine fields, guard towers with machine guns and threats against their families. OBVIOUSLY autocratic rule is a superior system to one that is ruled by the peasants. ( insert max sarcasm emotocon here ) If you annoy Putin you go to jail, or are murdered. Same was true for a century of Soviet rule. Same is true today in China. That's beyond doubt why Barack Hussein Obama so admires the Chinese government's ability to act, for good or ill. ( mostly ill ) As always, what Barack's actual motives are is a big question. ( we now know he can't be trusted to ever tell the truth ) Why was he so committed to oust Assad? Going against a Soviet puppet state protected by a nuclear armed enemy of the West seems out of character for an anti-colonialist, anti-Europe, anti-American leader. It's the natural growth of the "Arab Spring" rise of Islamofascism that Barack pushed across Africa, where he supported overthrowing secular rulers ( some pretty nasty, others not so bad ) with methods ranging from public praise, ( Liberia ) blackmail, ( Egypt ) to airstrikes supporting civil war. ( Libya ) The ONLY common denominator is calling for secular rulers to be destroyed, and support for Islamist theocrats, terror by rape, and genocide. Barack is STILL punishing Egypt for defying his will on keeping the Jihadi leader he loved with the rape gangs roaming the streets and the persecution, arson, and murder of Christians and other muslims. Is Syria just an extension of the pro-jihad "Arab Spring"? ( aka "Arab Dark Age" ) Or is the current Obama policy a sign of the "more Flexibility" Barack promised Putin? Is it paranoid to point out that every action of this President can easily be interpreted as him obeying his Masters in Moscow? People in this region will curse the United States and Barack Obama for generations. With Cause. | ||
