Nice bike, about time Honda built an adventure bike. Still love the shaft on my Tenere though...

Seems nice but why so heavy?
It's not even shaft drive.
Cast iron crankcase?

This is just another example of a major manufacturer missing the mark. What we have here is an over weight, over complicated, difficult to maintain and repair fat pig with a boatload of marketing convincing consumers that it is GREAT!

Remove the dual clutch, all the electronic junk, internal balance shafts and their drives, plastic and other bodywork and everything else not necessary to make it go and stop. You would be left with a simple, reliable 1000 cc, 300 lb dual sport that had a good weight to power ratio at a very reasonable price.

No marketing needed. This is what we WANT. Build it and they will come.

Agreed Panhead but I would go even further. I'd reduce the engine size to 700-800 cc to reduce weight even further. I don't think you need 1000 ccs and the reduced weight would be greatly appreciated for off road excursions.

True all that!

Seriously, I doubt, removal of all that would result in a reduction of 200lbs.

No marketing needed.
This is what we WANT.
Build it and they will come.

Probably not.

With a 34 in seat height, 62 in wheel base instant deal breaker for me.
And all us inseam challenged riders out there.
