"I agree, go back to a belt! Get rid of the take up roller that's bending the belt backwards and make the axle accurately adjustable! Problems solved!" No. You don't understand how the system works. The idler pulley keeps the belt path length to within .010" (On the XB... I imagine very similar on the 1125) from full extension to full compression. This keeps the belt tension correct so there is no slack. As soon as there's slack in this setup the belts break. An adjustable axle with no idler pulley would make the issue significantly worse. On a side note... How long are 1125 belts lasting? Longer than chains? What's the cost of a chain and two sprockets? What's the cost of two cans of chain lube and two cans of whatever you're using to clean your rear wheel? Just curios how it compares. |

37k on my 2008 1125R belt currently. Only one track day, so of course my abuse has been much less than others. |

I have a 2010 translucent red cityX out in the garage with black rims bought new. Ourdee- I guess I was thinking of the 2009 models. I never saw a 2010 XB9SX and didn't realize they'd changed to black wheels. Oh well, you learn something every day. |

I did go double checking myself looking for pics of the 2010 models and did see photos on totalmotorcycle.com of the 2010 xb12ss with color matched wheels so we both may have been partially right. |

^ Yea, the Ss had colored wheels. I checked buell.com on the internet archive and the specs for the 2010 Sx specifically said they had black wheels. |

So that article gave the comparo win to a bike with lesser specs. The EBR was faster on top, faster to 60, weighs less, shorter wheelbase, quicker handling, costed the least and had the most hp. I probly forgot some. Cycle World has always sucked hind tit. |

I do miss "Cycle", especially the tech stuff, but I read Cycle World, some of the time, and they tend to be a bit... over edited. Not quite enough information. But. People have complained about every bike mag... since they put 2 wheels together and someone painted a scathing review on a cave wall. Think this "news" deserves it's own thread? http://lanesplitter.jalopnik.com/harley-davidson-s treet-750s-brakes-completely-fail-in-m-1729350316 |

That Sidewalk 750 is probably the ugliest bike I have ever seen. It looks like it was built in India. Kind of like a Hero knock off. |

Much like many of Harley's latest offerings, I think it looks like a parts bin bike. Nothing about the bike bike flows visually from the front to back. They've lost their creative edge in the styling department, in my opinion. |
