Posted to EBR's Facebook page this morning by Mr. Bruce Belfer:
quote:To address any confusion, Atlantic Metals division of BGI is a manufacturer of fabricated metal equipment in the architectural, electrical and lighting businesses. We are not in the scrap metal business. We make things. We make them here in Jersey, in the USA, with American engineers, American ingenuity, and American skilled labor. Been at it for over 30 years. We know how. EBR is intact and in good hands. Thanks for keeping the faith! More to come. Time to get to work...
Oh hell yes. |

And later...
quote:Bruce Belfer: Erik is the icon. And the EBR team of vehicle dynamics rockstars are icons. I am an engineer, a mechanic, and a businessman. And I'm here to watch their backs as we go forward. And yes, my FB/cell/email/etc are all blowing up, thanks... Now back to work!
So far, ***so*** good. |

I agree and am anxiously awaiting to see what his plans are for the EBR dealers that were already established. |

I could give a flying rat's ass as to what he did then . . . . and I'll bet Mr. Belfer could give a flying rat's ass about my, or some of my Elf associates, arrest records. I am more concerned about his role in the motorcycles I've been riding since 1987 and have ridden in 44 of the 48 contiguous states. I'm liking what I'm hearing. |

. . . . . In fact . . . given the void I saw, in terms of smarts and balls, on the tube last night . . . I may write his ass in for President. I like it . . . . "a Buell in every pot" |

That's not fair Court... Carly Fiorina sounded man enough for the job. Looks like Buell went from being run by a Keith Wandell to more of a Tony Stark. |

I could give a flying rat's ass as to what he did then "Then" was about two months ago. You should have been a campaign manager, Court. Btw, Hillary might be needing some "spin" in the months ahead. |

After yesterday two things I've learned: Hillary Clinton will be our next president and Bruce Belfer will be our next Buell Icon! And I agree with Court on I don't give a rat's ass on what has happened in the past! I just want to see American made motorcycles being made in East Troy Wisconsin again! |

I stopped by EBR to shake the #1 employee's hand and that slacker must have left early. Then it started pouring. I went for petrol in town and food you know where. I my best Homer Simpson voice," Mmmmm boasted chicken". |

Reminiscent of the earth shattering revelation that Marco Rubio had received . . . sit down . . here it comes . . FOUR . . count's FOUR traffic tickets. Don't let minutia cloud your focus. EBR took a cheap shot to the jaw. Here's a guy with balls, guts, moxy and the means to get off his ass . . put his money where others have kicked in nothing but hollow rhetoric and do something. Let me clear that it's not that I don't care . . . but, having been around Buell longer than anyone here and having been through ALL the various iterations (Save PPP) I'm thrilled to see someone willing to place his trust and confidence (I'd say take a gamble, but my bet is he and Erik have ferreted out enough details to obviate the "gamble" element) in someone I admire, trust and have stood beside and behind for better than 25 years. I'm in 100% until someone gives me a reason not to be. Erik is getting another chance. In some ways it's like a SCUBA diver exhausting his oxygen supply just as a tank, accidentally dropped from a boat above, passes by. There's some luck . . .some skill . . . some planning and a ton of challenges. If there's a reason this fellow and his investors can't ante up that's one thing . . .but a scuffle at a concert (remind Erik to tell you about his concert experience at Max Yasgur's farm back in August of '69) is a data point not a grenade in my foxhole. I'm in all the way. Some will come with me . . . some won't. It's not "fan boy" enthusiasm . . . . it's based on years of experience and knowing the players involved. I'm looking forward to meeting this guy (seeing that he's a neighbor) and watching him get us back in orbit. Court |

I feel as long as Bruce can surround himself with the right business minded people, a few good marketing reps and he is willing to listen to what his dealers have to say the new EBR(or whatever it will be called) will be a success. |

Yeah IF this is the same guy, why is he working security? Hopefully the guys who's teeth re-arranged doesn't try to take him for all he's worth. Hopefully Eriks attorney did his homework on these people. |

If you could do anything you wanted, what would you do. I used to go to a camp for a month every summer prior to moving to Illinois. Back then I could afford to do whatever I wanted for a month every summer. I was friends with the guy in charge of the place. I didn't get paid. I had a lot and a 24' trailer there. This was what I liked doing; Packing trash in the dumpsters with a John Deere front end loader on a tractor, Digging trenches with a ditch witch, fixing the plumbing and installing ice machines, grooming baseball diamonds, cutting dozens of acres with a Skag mower, changing tires on golf carts, towing out stuck vehicles. providing security during teen camps at night, painting, roofing, running amusement rides for little kids, hooking cabins up to 6" water mains, etc. If I could have worked security at a concert or two, I would. I find things that some think are demeaning menial labor jobs, fun. I would guess EBR's new owner does what he gets enjoyment out of. Hope he comes to HC2016. |
