Anyone hit by these? My brother and my mom got hit pretty hard Sunday. My brother's daughter was out hiking in the woods with her boyfriend when it hit. He went to look for them after and found all the trails impassible by vehicle. Turns out they took shelter in a hunting cabin back there. They said it was pretty terrifying with trees snapping off all around them though. Smart move high tailing it to the hunting cabin! My brother estimated that 25 to 30% of our mature trees are down. The Ash trees that have been killed by the Ash Bore Beetle seem to have stayed up though. Apparently having no leaves keeps them from blowing down. Power is out all over right now. Fortunately neither my brother or my mom suffered damage to their houses or cars, and everyone is safe.

Here's a picture my brother took on the way home from work...

That first photo is pretty creepy. That thing will birth a few tornadoes for sure.

We had some crazy weather before it headed across the lake to Michigan.

There was very little damage in Green Bay. But head about 30 miles north and they had similar weather. 60+ mph winds, heavy rain and softball sized hail! We were in the area with our Corvette when we saw the storms brewing. We beat feet home and only had a little rain.

If I see a storm looking like that one I will wait a bit before going home. No sense in riding it into the sky! That is one badass cool nasty picture!

If I saw a storm like that I'd run the other way!

Heard from my mom this morning that M-22 is still closed near Glen Arbor. That's one of the major highways in the area. Power is expected to be out for days yet. At least I'll have no shortage of fire wood for a while.
