So, we take motorcycles on trade at work (RV dealer), when people need equity. We traded a '13 Gold Wing F6B a couple weeks ago. I buzzed it around the parking lot and damn, it's pretty cool. 118hp/100 lb-ft V6, stripped-down (for a 'wing), no chrome...pretty slick.

Well...I sold it, so I "had" to take it to a local shop for state inspection. All I can say is, it's a good thing I sold it, or I'd have been VERY tempted to buy it. That motorcycle is AMAZING. If any of you get a chance to ride an F6B...DO IT.

But you've been warned - you're gonna love it.

A guy up north of Wausau Wisconsin had one and the last I heard it had over 750,000 miles on it! Pretty dam reliable transportation if you ask me! Also I've seen footage of that guy riding his at the Dragon and I don't know many that could keep with him! That video was insane and the guy filming it on his liter bike was having all kinds of problems staying with him to film it!

Don- that guy was "Yellow Wolf" at the Dragon, rumor has it that he completed an Iron Butt, simply going back and forth on Deal's Gap!!! He would tell sportbike kids that he'd film a DVD of their run through the Dragon for $20- most of them would be incredulous that he could "keep up"... truth be told, he'd WAX most riders on ANYTHING with that 'Wing!! Someone also told me he'd spent some money at Computrack to update the suspension on that thing... ; )

There are Youtube vids about him...

If it's a "V", then it's a stripped down ST1300, not a stripped Goldwing.
The Goldwing has a flat six, the ST1300 has the V4...

Straight from Honda,

"Based on the Gold Wing’s 1832cc powerplant, the Gold Wing F6B’s engine features the same smooth power. And since the Gold Wing F6B is lighter, it’s going to feel even more powerful."

And yes, that engine is a Flat Six. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that F6 actually stood for Flat Six.

Cool bike either way.

Nothing bad,you just elevated the cylinders to a more desirable "V" profile.
