Following Wolf's lead, here's a reminder for BITA 5 for those of you that don't frequent Storm Fronts...  WHAT is Buells in the Alps? Buell meet (sleep/eat/ride/talk) WHERE? Little Switzerland, NC. It's located about on the Blue Ridge Parkway 50 miles north-east of Asheville, NC, and it's more-or-less equidistant from Charleston, SC (287 miles), Atlanta, GA (248 miles), and Raleigh, NC (234 miles). WHEN? 24-26, 2014, Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Show up earlier if you want; stay later if you want. WHO? Any interested motorcyclist, but concentrating on fellow Badwebbers and especially SC Buell Riders, 3%'ers (GA), and C3'ers (NC) WHY? Little Switzerland sits on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the intersection with 226A and 226B, which are both awesome roads. There are plenty of good twisty roads off of the Parkway nearby. I got my reminder last night! Best lightning storm I've seen since that one night of BITA 4! I would say it was the most active storm I've ever seen. It was like half an hour of 4th of July finally. No rain, so we just set up lawn chairs in the back yard and soaked it in. We will see you there! | ||

Dang, Dave. Sure wish you could get up there at least for a while to hang out with us. Sitting on that third floor balcony in one of those Adirondack chairs with a beer at the end of the day, looking out over the mountains will pretty much cure anything that ails you! | ||

Hugh- I passed on a chance to head up to Little Switzerland on the BRP this past Sunday- the Smoky Mountain HD folks put on a 3 day ride out to Peaks of Otter VA, but the first and last overnight stays were at the Switzerland Inn. I bailed because I thought it was gonna rain heavily Monday and today, and my old Beemer tires aren't that great- should've rolled up there and returned yesterday, like my old sales manager buddy did- he texted me this morning that he didn't see a drop! DAMMIT.  Oh well. You guys have a great time and stay safe, rubber side down! | ||

Hey guys- it'll be an outside chance if I do... might be cabin camping in far east TN or W VA... or not. At any rate, if I make it to BITA '15 I'll need a flat place to sleep, a pillow and a blanket for a night. Still mad about missing last weekend's ride. We'll see, friends. | ||
