It's a sad reflection of the times we live in . . . . . a criminal can lead the pack, the country and raise hundreds of millions of $$.

A "simple offender" (insert your own name for parking tickets if you'd like) gets crucified.

Convicted? Never happen.

Admitted to multiple crimes on tv? Yes. Defiantly.

Setting up a private email server after complaining that some opposition pols had is one. Not a felony I believe.
Destroying emails to prevent them from being subpoenaed might well be a felony. Absolutely a criminal act.

And while it's nigh impossible to prove quid pro quo in bribery cases, getting a million dollars "donated" to you and then arranging a multi million dollar deal for the kind and generous donor...... many times. ..... for years, is as close as it usually gets in the real world for "proof".

The only way Hill & Bill will ever be convicted is if I conquer America and order a fair trial. Honestly I'm to lazy to set myself up as King and don't want the job anyway.

I only mention the recent crimes. Hillary may have no provable guilt in many of Bill's criminal acts, and can't be forced to testify against her husband. So I'll skip pardons and the many suspicious deaths surrounding the Clintons from a decade ago.

It's still not a recipe for long life to cross the Clintons.

If/when she is charged with a crime let me know. Until then it is merely opinion and false accusation and makes you sound worse than all the Bush haters did.

If you have evidence of a crime, send it to the authorities. If any of her detractors have evidence I am sure they would do the same. Until then it is merely speculation and assumption.

...and before you start labeling me a liberal or Hilary supporter, no I don't have any plans to vote for her and do think she is slimy. I just believe in the rule of law and know that if any of her republican foes actually had any evidence of criminal activity, she would already be indicted. Until then it is campaign shenanigans at it's best (like vilifying someone for parking tickets (which BTW I have never had because I don't park where I'm not supposed to)).

Sadly, the "authorities" are complicit in covering up what happened.

Not campaign shenanigans.

The Clintons are so slimy they brag about it.

When you send minions to announce you have destroyed evidence, even if that evidence has not yet been subpoenaed, and it has, you are an admitted criminal.

But she will never go to jail. That's for you little peasants.

This administration sent an "innocent" "film maker" to prison for nearly a year and now for the rest of his life you will pay to keep him safe from murder.

I put innocent in quotes because I think he should have been prosecuted for endangering the lives of the actors in his short film by dubbing different dialogue in post.

Hillary promised the families of the abandoned to be tortured & killed at the Benghazi consulate the film maker would be imprisoned. He was. He had nothing to do with the attack on the arms smuggling op sending weapons to what is now ISIS. ( source, New York Times )

Let's put it this way.

A girl robbed a bank. Then posted video of herself with the money wearing the same clothes as in the robbery, and was arrested.

I don't know if she has been convicted yet but it's safe to call her a criminal based on her bragging about the robbery.

It's perfectly legal and truthful to call Hillary a criminal. Safe is another matter.

"Airbozo, do you seriously believe Hillary met the legal obligations for data retention, freedom of information obligations, and legal discovery with her private email server?

I do not believe she met the moral obligations, but since I am not a lawyer I cannot comment on the legal obligations (I also have not ready the specific law covering this).

I have no idea what the inspector general believes, but if he thinks a crime was committed then he should file charges or fight to have the right folks file them.

Until there is a conviction, we have this silly rule: Innocent until proven guilty.

Same with your other example. Unless she confessed to the crime and was charged and convicted then her criminal status is based on the assumption the money in the video was not legally obtained and only one set of the clothes ever existed in the world (which a reasonable person would know is not true). IF she bragged about the robbery, then there is a confession which can be used to prosecute her. Still, innocent until proven guilty.

Years ago a gang member bragged about taking out some rival gang members waving what appeared to be the same weapon used to kill them in a youtube video. Turns out he was not the perp and the gun he was waving , while not the weapon used was the same model, they charged him based on a confession and during the trial, it came out that another person was actually the perp who was later convicted and sent to jail. The original guy was certainly guilty of possession of a stolen firearm and being an idiot for confessing to a crime he did not commit.

So it is merely an assumption that Hillary is a criminal (and possibly a valid one, but until she is convicted, she is innocent until proven guilty).

You are right of course. But when the DOJ gets politically weaponized and the rule of law gets undermined, words and laws can mean whatever those in power want them to mean at the moment, no?

Which is why this all bugs me so much...

It would be proper for me to say that Hillary "allegedly" took huge bribes, and it's factual that some kind people gave her ( and Bill and Chelsea ) huge amounts of money, and that then the Clintons arranged sweet deals making the nice people much richer than before. But no matter how obvious it is that Hillary takes Bribes, it's "alleged" because she's never admitted it and never been arrested, tried and convicted. ( like that could ever happen... )

Obama allegedly takes huge bribes. It's factual that his campaign ( still ongoing ) charges people $500,000 dollars to have lunch once every few months with the Prez to "discuss items of concern". You want to talk to Barry in a nice setting and he will KNOW you gave him a half a million dollars? That's what they sell. Pay up front, for access, nothing wrong with that? ( like Bill renting the Lincoln Bedroom ) No way to prove quid pro quo, eh? ( wink, nod )

But I can safely say that Hillary is a criminal because I looked up the law, you can too, and it is very specific that you are not allowed to destroy emails that may be subpoenaed. She was Sec State, and set up an "illegal" private server, and has said so. She destroyed evidence, and has so announced. ( through minions mostly )

So X was done. fact. X is illegal. fact. Hillary said she did x. fact. her attitude is F you. fact opinion.

If you want to tack "alleged" onto the statement that "Hillary is a slimy ( alleged ) criminal running for president", feel free.

I'll skip the word with no problems on my conscience.

If that's our only point of disagreement, I'd say we were pretty much on the same wavelength...

Now.... Back to how slimy some of these Republican scum are.

Hillary has never been convicted. She was fired for ethical violations but never convicted of a crime.

I think she's committed a number of them. But as one of the wealthiest "broke" folks in America she stays in the clear.

She brought the China and silverware back to the White House, within the time demanded by the Feds, and no charges were filed.

Enough about the Criminal Hillary... I mean Alleged murderess Hillary Rodham.

I'm watching the R leaders want to give Obama more power, and it's all about some massive "pacific trade deal" that, as far as I can tell, is a cheap labor source for Silicon valley, who have been bribing the crap out of the R leaders. I want them to be arrested, tried and sent to the Island. ( the one with all the cameras, wolves, bears, and poisonous critters on the 24/7 pay per view channel, with twitter pop ups and the Vegas betting line we need to pay off the deficit )

And, according to the crazy right wing talk show hosts, the Pacific Deal establishes a version of the European Union that will be a 4th branch of our government, so Chinese and Malaysian executives can write our laws. I have no way to verify this, since the "deal" is in a locked room, and no one is allowed to take notes out. Total secrecy.

Obama's utter lack of strategy for not losing the planet is open and on tv, the end of Constitutional law is locked up tighter than... Excuse me, I was about to be rude to the First Lady. You get my point.

But, it looks like we might be saved, by the Democrats! Who, apparently didn't get big enough bribes from Microsoft and Apple, or maybe just will oppose anything the R leaders want...

Since anyone sane who wants a free country is opposed to what the R leaders want, I have to ( choke gasp ) applaud ( snort, cough ) Nancy too many Botox injections in the skull Pelosi.

It's the endo of the world. I'm going to go drink some single malt.

have a nice day.

Kerry also parks his yacht ( and it's just a little one, really ) in a different state to avoid paying Mass. State taxes on it.

Do as I say, not as I do.

While I'm indulging in Class Envy, let me note that Warren Buffet, who supported The O in saying that rich people should pay more taxes, spends a LOT of money on lawyers so he doesn't have to. I don't really hold that against him, no one pays more than they have to without a good reason. I do hold against him that he only supported the President, publicly, AFTER a series of speeches by The O with a heavy Class Envy/Hate content including the often repeated meme, "Private jet", to indicate Evil Rich. ( and no doubt Republican Women hating Racist Homophobic Scum ) Immediately AFTER Warren put on his cheerleaders outfit to stump for Obama, The phrase "Private Jet" disappeared, completely, from the Obama Envy/Hate Speeches.

The fact that Warren is part owner of a lucrative Private Jet Rental agency has no provable connection to extortion, quid pro quo, or anything other than a remarkable coincidence as to timing and actions.

If you buy that I have some swampland for sale.

Now if you can explain why the Rich Evil White Guys that run the Republicans want to give Barry more power, I'd like to hear it.

All I got is "massive bribes" and utter lack of responsibility.

What are we up to now? 15? 376?

Trump just declared. Snicker. I actually like the guy, as an entertainer, and some talk show guy I heard today thought he'd be a decent President, but won't get the job. All I have to say is while Hillary in 2008 could not get Obama to release a Birth Certificate, The Clown Trump did get a multilayer pdf file for his efforts, so there is that.

Although I suspect it was considered by The O team the perfect time to pound the stake into the "Birther" movement. Politically brilliant. Naturally it was timed and scheduled to make Trump look dumb, change the subject, and forever label any "birthers" as loons. Worked great.

Now, I have no opinion on where Barry was born, or who his father is, or any of that stuff. I note in passing that a multilayer pdf file is not a copy or photograph of a piece of evidence, in this case a log book/legal document/form, that is free from tampering. It was, we are told, enhanced to make it legible. So not legal evidence with an unbroken chain. Could be legit, could be as real as a photo of Joan Rivers in bed with Michelle.

Honestly I don't know what electronic media is safe from tampering. Chain of evidence now includes physical isolation, ( a plastic bag ) for phones and data thingees. But, you have to hook it up to something to read it, and phone devices are open to the planet.

In any case, Trump got played. Don't know how good a politician he is. Apparently no one has ever gotten the Prez job without being a war hero or Senator, or Secretary, or Governor, so Trump, as a pure tycoon/business man, would be a first.
