Last weekend, with the help of a great friend, I drove a 2005 GMC Yukon 2500 miles to pick my new 2009 Buell 1125 CR.

Trip was from Rochester, MN to Boerne, TX. Completed 2497 miles in 43hrs with almost no sleep.

Lets just say it was a "steal" of a deal on the bike. The bike fit in the back of the Yukon surprisingly well. Removed the flyscreen, cluster, brake/clutch master cylinders, let the air out of the tires, and compressed the suspension with ratchet straps to get it in there.

Ran into some water on the road in TX.

Check out the pictures!!

Congrats!!! The CR is the one I'd go for. BE SAFE- unless you're familiar with hi-po V-Twin power, GO EASY. That beeyotch will toss you if your throttle hand twitches too much!

Otherwise, get ready for loads of fun. I went on a ride through Deal's Gap and the Cherohala last Friday- as I was leaving Robbinsville, I saw a group of hooligans passing through... last one was on a bike like yours, loud pipe and all!

If that was a P3, then the dumpster in the background would be appropriate

Congrats. That is one fine model

Wow. I think you hold the mileage record for acquisition of a CR.

Congratulations on the new bike!

Congrats! You will probably want to get rid of the D & D, or at least your neighbors will want you to. You will get better power out of Dean's pipe, HMF (still pretty loud) or FMF, Drummer, etc. Dead spot mid-rpm range on the D & D. And did I mention it is loud?

Are pipes still available from Dean?

Bike has the EBR Race ECM, will that work with any common aftermarket pipe or need to be retuned for different exhausts?

Need to know what the calibration is that's in the EBR ECM.
There's a sticker on the front and back of it...post those numbers/letters.

God I can only imagine how loud that D&D is. Loud and crappy power (and relatively expensive compared to better pipes IIRC.) Why someone would choose THAT pipe I have no idea.

So.....for a new guy here,

How does one go about getting the correct ECM cal or where does one go to get the ECM tuned for current setup or future setup if I get different exhaust?
