I didn't realize that mental retardation was contagious...

Learn something new every day. Reminds me of some of my middle aged coworkers who think they can still ride skateboards, and then miss a week of work because of road rash and concussions.

That's funny. I have a cheap board at work that I hop on every now and then and ride from warehouse to warehouse.
I wonder if I could get workers comp if I did a header into a forklift....

The bike surfers deserve some road rash at least.
Indian Larry had been doing that for years, It didn't end well for him

Oh yawn, is this new again?

I remember doing it on a Suzuki TS250M when I was 18.

Of course I was bulletproof, invincible & immortal in those days.

" Reminds me of some of my middle aged coworkers who think they can still ride skateboards"

I'm over 50 and still own several boards including one I built myself. I can still grind and flip kick with the best of them, but know my limits in the bowls and ramps. I too have a board in my office I take for a ride several times a week.

I would however not attempt bike surfing. Too much to live for and I need most of my skin for the adventures I still have planned...

Where I used to work, they had to clamp down on riding scooters and skateboards between buildings after one idiot fell and got a "work injury."

They had to require protective gear AND DOT/VIN (street legal)

If you die doing something stupid, that's how you'll be remembered: Indian Larry

@bozo- I've still got the shorty that my Mom had built for me when I was 11.

It's the only skateboard I can ride, longboards would kill me- but I can finish a slalom on the next street up, after the dog gives me a pull.

G&S Fibreflex, Energy trucks, Cell blocks, Sims Snake wheels. Bearings are due for replacement.

OT: That vid was kinda cool. We all choose whether we become meat, or not.

BTW, if you choose to watch this, the movie is great but the closing credits and the groovy music are worth watching too.

I've done some stuff on motorcycles but that does not appeal to me.

On skateboarding, that is not a perishable skill. I got on one after almost a decade of being without, and I was right back where I had left off. I can still show any kids around here how it's done.

I can ollie over a small trash can, but I never could get the kick flip with any consistency.

I can still ride my driveway and ski keg mountain both without spilling my beer.

I once tripped over a skateboard.
