C,mon Alfau, don't you remember the Milperra Viking tavern massacre. We Australians are not in a position to pass judgement on this one. I taught the sons of the commancheros and my ex-wife in another school taught the sons of the bandidos. We had a first hand experience of the fallout from that one. Most shocking was a welfare session with the boys who were distressed by the deaths of their Uncles and family friends who said to me " Don't worry, sir, we had a family meeting last night . It'll be ok. Next time we'll bring more guns." | ||

As far as I can tell the only reason this made the news was the number of arrests. The police got tired of being ignored....one complained the gangs would kill each other right in front of him. So made a mass bust to crack down. Idiots, civilian & police watch tv and think that the Shakespeare on wheels Sons of Anarchy is real. Oh.... and the Regime wanted distraction from it's failing in the War. They have a daily release of the talking points of the day. So it's talk about big bad bikers and not the Obama campaign in Iraq. | ||

The reason this made the news was because it was a gunfight, OK Corral style, with two protagonists shooting each other up. News coverage loves a good shoot em up. From the wild west, to modern day. It's classic Americana. Of course this is going to be front page news. Black gang members bumping each other off in Chicago isn't news worthy because white biased and produced media in the United States is apathetic about black gang members bumping each other off. | ||

It will be used to support gun bans, so in that sense, it is very relevant to the media's agenda. They will conveniently omit that these guys are criminal gang members, many of whom have felony records, and were already prohibited from owning a firearm. | ||
