Of course they still own 49%. A corporation survives receivership as does an individual. Similarly 49% ownership has ZERO to do with control. The Court could Order Hero to pay te due and owing debt and the board of EBR could, likely in a 51:49 manner declare a bonus to the shipping clerk. Corporations are Legal entities and trying to invoke fair or common sense can mislead one m |

Is it unreasonable to read Hero's statement about opening a U.S. subsidiary as an intention to buy EBR or am I just thinking too hard? |

Mrakz83, They already have a U.S. subsidiary. It's supposedly located in a house in Owings Mills MD. |

SCOOP! Spy photo of Hcml Na Inc. located at 3401 Starlite Ct Owings Mills, Maryland 21117-2273 (410) 356-0981 shows them fully operational (if somewhat short staffed) as of 3:56 this afternoon.
Keen eyes will spot the filched racing bicycle prototype in the background. No, you may NOT interest me in a Squishee. |

Yes, it's in poor taste but I couldn't resist interjecting some humor into a depressing topic. Moderators, please delete if it's deemed offensive. |

Hero hasn't made a motorcycle yet that I would want to put in my garage! I don't foresee that ever changing either! |

Mass produced racing bikes is pretty stupid. GSX-Rs, Ninjas, and Panigales really don't sell; now do they? |

So ..... It turns out the logic is fine and the statement is stupid? Once again ..... Those pesky facts arrive to spoil the party. |

I can understand wanting to produce a flagship model, with the racing serving as an accelerated test bed, and then branching out into other lines while your business partner handles the smaller displacement end of the spectrum. It just didn't come to pass. |

GSX-Rs, Ninjas, and Panigales All good sound bikes, unlike an unproven brand/bike. (Message edited by alfau on May 12, 2015) |

Didn't Suzuki USA just do the same thing and go through some kind of financial reorganization? I know one local dealer that got screwed out of there franchise fees, and then when the ordeal was over, they didn't get the franchise back, the local polaris snow machines and Spyder cycles dealer got it. I don't like to too my own horn all that much but it makes me feel better in light of crashing my Buell and EBR declaring receivership in the same day. Way back when, it seems that I might have called it. Henshao Posted on Friday, April 17, 2015 - 03:20 pm: Or perhaps more cynically, Hero got what they needed from an engineering standpoint and bailed. |

Whatever happened HERO is quiet about EBR and apparently moving forward with any projects they had on the table. Like it or not we may be looking at HERO 1190's in the future. |

I've been checking Hero's website periodically for their updated annual report; it's still not posted even though they have publicly announced their 4th quarter results. It'll be interesting to see what, if anything, they have to say about EBR in the report. |

Rooster Dirt Squirter Filthy Mud Bug .... Seems to me US Highland lost most of their top leadership a couple of years ago in plane crash right out of Big Bopper/Ricky Valens/Buddy Holly riff warning to small companies - never put all your senior management on a single plane... bad move. Anyways - all their tooling for light weight dirty bikes .... just sitting there .... slowly eeking out because they don't have the production .... Just saying ! DAMNIT A light weight 450 Sumo / Cafe / SuperSport - at an affordable price - Let the Phoenix rise and the Griffen RIDE ! ok - I need to put in a mouthguard and curl up in the corner in a fetal position, and hyperventilate for a bit. |

A bit OT, but great news: https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2015/05/14/splitl ath-confirms-ebr-machinery-usas-mark-miller-for-tt /
quote:“We’re still confident that we haven’t seen the last of Erik Buell and the EBR company so for us it was a simple decision; either give up on this year, or continue fighting and show the world just how incredible the EBR machines are on the roads. We felt we had a responsibility to all of the guys back at the factory to keep their bikes racing this year,” Splitlath EBR Team Owner John Dimbylow says.
