Mine too. I was riding Harleys back then and was pretty anti crotch rocket at the time. I remember being at a newstand and this bike was on the cover of cycle magazine or one of those rags, and it caught my eye so I opened it up and read the article. I was so amazed that I bought it and had that thing up until about 4 years ago. I ends up selling it at a garage sale. I did recently by the DVD about the Britten. Its an amazing story. I took it to work and was pushing on everyone (no one I work with is interested in motorcycle). They were blown away by the story. Its really mind boggling what this man accomplished. I often wonder where motocycles would be today had he not died.

They have one at Barber as well.I was lucky enough to have the once in a lifetime chance to see and hear it run on the track a few years ago.

To me the Britten is captivating because it was executed by someone who I feel shares much of what we like about Erik Buell.

His willingness to defy convention, to create where others haven't.

Why is it that mediocrity and status quo seem to operate endlessly but the truly inventive seem to end before their time?
