So I am buying a Uly on monday (5/4) in Myrtle Beach and riding back to Kansas over the next couple days. Looks like I will probably get poured on, but it's about the only time I can do it... If anybody fells compelled, drop me a PM with your number if you happen to be along the way, having a contact or two along the way never hurts. Not 100% on the path I will take at the moment, likely just play it by ear and try to avoid the raindrops. Looking at the most direct route (gotta get back for work) has me taking I-26 to I-40 to I-24 to I-64 to I-70, so if the weather holds out, that's the way I will likely go. Otherwise, the southernly route. Thanks |

Hey- that's the one I posted to the classifieds! Glad to hear it's going to a Badwebber. I live about ~80 miles away, but unfortunately I'll be out of town all next week. Good luck on your purchase and return ride. ALL interstate? Come on, you can't go THAT close to the twisties in the mountains of NC without taking a side trip!

What Hugh said- for Heaven's sake, DON'T miss out on the roads in W NC and E TN!!! If time permits, take the twistier route! How much of the Blue Ridge Parkway could you do? Answer: AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!! Holler if you pass through Maryville TN- Deal's Gap/The Dragon is basically in my backyard. However, the Cherohala Skyway is MUCH more enjoyable. LOTS of great roads around here! Be safe, rubber side down! |

I've ridden the east coast roads many, many times...Doubt time will allow it this trip, though |

Well, I'm kind of far south from your most direct route... 30 miles north of Atlanta. Just in case you point the bike this way, my number is six seven eight four zero four zero two six four. -Matthew |

I love fly-ride/drive it's such an adventure. And that moment you roll up at home with the new vehicle, priceless, almost on a par with when you fire up a motor after a rebuild. |
