I also have a hard time voting for someone who puts god before the people he serves. I'm not clear where you get that from with Romney. I certainly don't think his record as Governor supports it. I'm not sure what he said that would support it either. BO OTOH, I would say that he puts his god (small g on purpose) before the people he serves. He is far less open about exactly what God, or god he serves. He certainly has done what he can to skirt the rule of law. | ||

Putting the interest of the people above a sense of right inspired by religion would have ensured the continuation of slavery and oppression of minorities. Thank God for leaders who went against the wishes of their constituents. | ||

I think you will find that many on the right, while thinking Bill Clinton was a first class @$$#ole personally, will acknowledge that he was a decent moderate executive that worked reasonably well with a Republican controlled congress to serve the country reasonably well. He didn't make much happen, but he knew how and when to stay out of the way of good things others had going (for example welfare reform). At the end of the day he was a reasonable moderate. I wish the left could have come to the same position regarding Romney, in spite of their prejudice against Christians generally and Mormons specifically. Instead we got an unqualified leader, and voted for something we wished him to be, instead of recognizing his total lack of qualifications and experience. The result was a leader that, in just 8 years, doubled the 200 years of national debt that our children must now pay off. | ||
