The only helmet I have ever purchased was for my wife a few years ago. I have always gotten them free with the purchase of a motorcycle.

Well, I pulled the trigger on a new one a few days ago, and it just arrived today.

Bell Vortex with "Flying Tigers" color scheme.

This thing fits better than any lid I've ever had.

I'll let you all know how the noise levels are after I've had it out on the bike.

I like those Vortex helmets also, but I had trouble getting my glasses in there so I ended up choosing my HJC CL-17. We shopped for a new helmet for my wife couple weeks ago, she ended up with the very similar Bell Qualifier and she loves it. We tried the Vortex also but she liked the feel of the Qualifier better. We picked up the gradient shield also, good looking combo.

ive had that same one for about 3 years now

if it fits you so well, I'd think that your head is probably a long-oval shaped. my head is, and this helmet fits me very comfortably.

Good to know the Bell is a long-oval. My noggin is also long-oval; my last two helmets have been Sharks. There seem to be a lot more choices in long-oval shaped helmets lately.

You can find out what shape helmets are in the reviews at www.webbikeworld.com

Slick lid!

There's one out there that has for its graphic the impact zones diagrammed from the Hurt report... I've been tempted to find one and try it out for fitment.
Wish I could remember what brand that was...

I'd like to be able to show up at my former workplace with that lid, and place it in full view of everyone else wearing their puddin' bowls!

Bell also has recently produced some modern/retro helmets- they look the part from back in the 60's/70's, but are fully modern in their build and features.
