I'm sitting here eating a cheeseburger that was fried in butter on a Martin's Potato Bread roll with a nice layer of Sauteed Onions (also fried in butter) and a reasonable amount of Heinz 57 Ketchup.
As a side, I'm having oven roasted Yukon Gold potatoes seasoned with salt, black pepper, oregano and garlic powder. It doesn't get much better than this.

Just thought I'd make y'all jealous.

I like you! We eat alike. Mine was homemade from my brother Randy's meat shop.

Unfortunately, no beer as I'm doing state business corporate filings! Oh the pain

BBQ pulled venison with onions and peppers topped with homemade slaw on toasted chibata bread. Washing it down with a nice local oatmeal stout. Not jealous one bit......ha ha

(Disclaimer; all the above sounds tasty too...)

I had left over Skyline Chili over pasta w/beans, cheese and crackers.... twas tasty.

I have to say, I am looking forward to firing up the smoker.
I cut down a old apple tree last year and cut a bunch of it into 3" thick "disks".
It has been drying in my garage for about 8 months and should be ready to feed the smoker.

No fair posting this on a Monday. After a weekend of pigging out, Mondays are usually a pretty tame affair. My wife just informed me that we're having leftover pizza tonight (I can remember the days when there was no such thing as left over pizza).

Easter is coming up and it promises lots of good food.

Just had some wings from our local fave BBQ guy, doctored them up with his special sauce, some Thai/Scorpion powder, dark soy sauce, chipole pepper sauce, sriracha, etc.-
got a nice kick of heat, plus the BBQ guy's awesome flavor!

Doing burgers/corn/zucchini/squash, plus taters/peppers/onions on the grill tonite.

The next few days will be dedicated to leftovers and heading back to work...

Does anybody remember the frozen hamburger patties that had a pad of butter frozen to the top of the burger?
I haven't seen them for years.

I had the good fortune this week to be able to take a break at a Waffle House with truck parking (I44 exit 127, Lebanon MO for those of you who can use the info)
2 eggs over easy, 2 sausage patties, 3 bacon strips, 2 slices of toast.
A perfect feed any time of the day.

I must again thank Don (Ozz666) for introducing me to Waffle House nearly ten years ago, near Lexington KY if memory serves.

Dangit Matthew- my new BBQ buddy cheated on me!! ; )

Actually, tonite I'll be working up some leftover proteins from work: Several small portions of lamb belly, a fairly large amount of Ahi tuna, either couscous or rice, and some veggies, maybe grilled corn and peas.

Plus, on the BBQ side of things, "family meal" last nite consisted of pork BBQ soft tacos... the GF swears it's the best 'cue around. That'll be our lunch today!
Heading out in a bit for IHOP breffix...

First day where I could reach the shed and not sink to my ankles.

Tractor tires pumped, started, and all functions well, ran around the yard and tested everything.. left some muddy stripes.

Buttercup, my M2, started first try, warmed up, and decided it would sink past the rims if I pulled it out.... almost did anyway.

oh. Dinner.

Hot Italian sausage in the oven, pasta sauce well begun, onion, garlic, very hot Indian pepper flakes, ( Penzeys ) concentrated tomato paste, cooked until fragrant & softened, then diced tomato, and Classico sauce from a jar.
Now simmering awaiting the sausage which I will cut into 1/2 inch bits and add to sauce. Should be perfect by dinner.

The only decision yet, is Campanelle, or Rotini ( 3 color vegetable )?

Thermometer beeping... must go.
