Heck, in Kenya they are very proud that he's from Kenya! Wasn't his father Kenyan? His mother, American, so he's a citizen by law. To draw a parallel, since Ted Cruz is also a citizen, can someone saying he's Canadian be guilty of racism as well? (I HATE Canucks! Bush presidential campaign of 2000. Patches... smart and hard working people tend to be in positions of power, generally more than they ever really wanted (DAMHIK). The argument you are trying to make is one against government interventions like TARP. Otherwise you are saying that any person that ever was successful enough to hold an important job in a large institution can't hold a role in government. That kind of idiocy got us a leader like Obama, who is certainly a great liberal philosopher, but who is also certainly not qualified to be running anything bigger than a large urban church or a medium sized law firm. He certainly is not qualified to be running the country. Be skeptical and be thoughtful, but be reasonable too. I think the way to fix the country is with STRONG constitutional and financial conservatives that are also moderate social liberals. Hear me out... Social conservativism is great for individuals, and the government should protect an individuals right to go down that path. But it should not be mandated by government any more than Sharia law should be mandated by government. The tinfoil hat paranoia, and dropped on our heads as a child inability to apply pragmatism, is what splits constitutional and fiscal conservative majorities and leads to liberal victories (which are far worse than what we were trying to stop). I don't know about Canada, but anyone here who uses the term "American Race" is almost always a racist KKK or Nazi type. Like Canada we are a people of immigrants, from the ones that walked across the sea ice to the ones arriving daily on 747's. Race is a construct of those who would enslave those they call lesser. Obama is not Kenyan. I wish you guys had the CBC down there. Obama had dual British Colony and American citizenship at his birth in 1961. Kenya became an independent country from England in 1963. In it's constitution Kenya, does not allow dual citizenry. Because Obama or neither of his parents tried to amend his citizen status within Kenya, he has always been American. The Fifth Estate devoted a whole hour to this crap. Ft_Bastard's little tongue in cheek reference to Obama being Kenyan is just another shot at calling the man out as "black". It's not unusual for a child born of 2 folk from different countries to have dual citizenship. Although if you read all the above references to the law, Kenya no longer recognizes dual citizenship, and they are simply proud to claim Barry as their own, now. No big deal. I don't know the rules in Cuba. Or how they apply to Cruz. Nor, frankly do I give a darn. If he's legal he's legal.
