Hoot-- That is some grisly, sick stuff. I have a son, daughter-in-law and grand-daughter living in Longmont. Per your CNN link, the Boulder County DA is already starting the tap-dance; it is my understanding of Colorado law that an unborn child that is killed as a result of felonious actions can be considered as a murder victim-- isn't one of the victims counted in the slaughter at the Aurora movie theater an un-born child? | ||

It isn't the sanctity of the life of the individual that determines whether it's murder or a "choice" only the opinion of the owner of the womb carrying the child. If the fetus was killed on the way to the abortion clinic, is it still murder or a mobile service house call? | ||

Sadly, a woman cutting the baby out of another woman is not unheard of. Don't know what happened in this case, but sometimes when a woman loses her own baby, she is driven to get another, by any means. Tragic situation for everyone. | ||

"What the hell is wrong with people?" That is an awfully long list... Mental illness brings out the worst in folks, but long ago one of our leaders decided they should be dumped on the streets and not taken care of by society. Now we have situation like this. (I have friends that live almost across the street from this mess). | ||

Not arguing, Hoot, as I an equally disgusted, but according to the article you linked, "Colorado legislators did pass a measure that makes it a felony to violently cause the death of a mother's fetus. The maximum punishment under that provision is 32 years in prison. " I left Colorado in '12. Thanks for the update. | ||

Well, technically it's not a life unless it can support itself (I really forgot how it was worded)... Some people should be removed from the planet for the good of society... Wonder if a lawyer could argue the "support itself" clause for the perp. I left CO in '86. Hated commuting in the snow. | ||
