Froggy, Maybe readers of this thread have finally realized that Obama is a failed Presidency. Time and again, anti-Obama posters here are agreeable to reasoned debate but all that is received are sporadic contributions from the pro-Obama side which are emotionally driven with virtually no facts to back up their position. Debate is welcome. BTW, it is refreshing to see you post. You usually have a different opinion which we can learn from. (Message edited by reindog on March 10, 2015) |

Frogster . . . I'd sure love to hear, just for technical entertainment . . you and Reep's opinion on the tales of this amazing server. |

I'm not a fan of the president. I didn't vote for him either time, I voted McCain in 08, and Ron Paul in 2012, but voted for Kerry in 04 as that was the first year I could vote. (I seem to be on a losing streak, perhaps I should check Hillary's box next year? ) I've not had anything meaningful to contribute, so my posts in this thread have been minimal. I do see eye to eye with Obama on a few issues, but not many, and knew him being elected and reelected was not our best option overall.

From you I can't dispute that, but my experience here on the quickboard is that there are others on here that ignore concrete facts and it seems like they are downright brainwashed. Then there are others that rather just call people libtards or demonrats. Honestly I feel no point in even disputing anything, it goes nowhere, neither side learns anything, and it just ends with aggravation and insults. |

I love political cartoons so that is pretty much why I keep posting on this thread. Obama's constant barrage of lies has finally gotten me to the point that whatever he's for, I'm generally against and vice-versa. I turn the channel when he comes on as he is no longer welcome in my house. That is a really sad thing to say about any President of the United States. That said, I agree with Court. I would love to hear your opinion of Hillary's server and how to best perform forensics on it. What can be discovered in the face of probable erasures and cover up? Who do you call to testify that they performed IT on it? I am disgusted at the Clintons. |

What can be discovered in the face of probable erasures and cover up? There's lots that could be discovered about the truth if the hard drive was available for investigation. "Deleting" a file doesn't actually delete the file. I think a good percentage of folks understand that, but may not know the details. This goes back quite a few years, but I doubt things have really changed much... When you delete a file, all that is really done is the file name is renamed by overwriting the first position of the file name with a character that isn't normally a legal character. Immediately following the file name is the actual address of the beginning of the file on the disk. Changing that one byte of the file name back to a legal character will bring the entire file back at this point. As time goes on though, parts or all of a given file may be overwritten by other new files. This will cause data to be lost, but large amounts can still typically be recovered. There is software that will do an actual overwrite of the file. This is often referred to wiping the file. Doing this still leaves evidence of the wipe though, as the unused areas of the disk will stand out as having been used at some point, then wiped clean and made available for newer files. The operating system follows rules as to how available space is used for new files. Wiping sections will be apparent to anyone who understands the rules used by the operating system involved. In short, making the drive available for examination by experts would give a very clear indication of Hillary's truthfulness today. It would be quite definitive. I'm not the least bit surprised that she wouldn't want the server examined. You could also look for character strings such at "Benghazi" in the areas of the disk where the deleted files existed, unless they have been wiped. There would be zero reason to wipe files from the disk other than to hide what was being done however. I would love to hear the results of this sort of examination from an independent expert. I don't expect to see that ever happen short of a court ordered seizure, which has virtually zero chance under this administration. I would love to hear some half believable explanation for what we have just witnessed. We have heard for more than six years about how this administration has been able to embrace and harness new communication technology. Now we are being told that these people don't know how to use two email accounts on a single device. Truth is unrecognizable with this administration. |

I gave a technical dump in the other thread. But you *only* set up this kind of solution when you want personal control of your data. Otherwise you use somebody else (cheaper, more reliable, much less work to manage). It was obviously done for the same reason she hid the files in a closet in the white houses after she pulled from the IRS when Bill was in office... as a lawyer, she knows what she can get away with, and how to get away with it. As a Clinton, she knows how to play the media and public opinion to help. The reasonable conclusion is that she ran that server herself in order to avoid complying with freedom of information and legal disclosure requests. And that she did so knowing that the nation will suffer as a result due to the inability of a small organization like hers to manage and secure that kind of server. I don't doubt she kept "top secret" stuff out of it, but I'm sure the correspondence was nearly all sensitive communications. Both for her personally, and for the nation as a whole. It was hacked by "Guicifer" already. He pulled some sensitive information about Bengazi she sent to other insecure email accounts others owned. You can bet he wasn't the only one in there. |

Who ever dreamed we'd have a Neighborhood Organizer from Chicago negotiating, while excluding Congress, on a nuclear arms deal. I'm not sure you could send a dumber dog to the fight . We really deserve better leaders. |

It is quite possible that World War III has already started and we don't even know it...yet. Bush 43 pulled some humdingers but this pResident has pulled light years away in stupidity. He has deliberately dismantled America, embraced our enemies, and shunned our friends. The next President, Democrat or Republican, ideally should be either a governor, ex-governor, or military man. Congress people tend to blunderbuss their way into office with no practical experience. |
