More distractions to take your mind off the road.

They are amazing ..... And on back order

Be watching for a motorcycle ...... Perhaps made in USA ..... That pairs.... Nicely with this technology.

Too valuable to risk by riding.

I don't see it as taking your mind off the road. It's little more than a high-tech rear view mirror. It is what you make of it. The mirrors on many bikes are incredibly poorly designed for their purpose. This is just someone trying to fill a need. Good for them!

If the hud can show instruments and gps, I might have to find the coin, SA ( Situational Awareness ) is critical to staying in one piece.

Maybe not a bad idea but, the info has got to be in your peripheral vision so as to be able to see it easily but keep your focus ON THE ROAD! Preferably above or below your straight ahead line of vision. When we ride sport bikes, the way they were intended to be ridden, we need all the concentration we can get with out distractions. This would be way better for a touring type of rider which I do a lot of on my 1125R but in these deer infested canyons, not to forget all the morons out there in cages. Perhaps a seller would let you test one before buying. I do like the technology though. Bob

>>>we need all the concentration we can get with out distractions.

Over the years . . . . the position, amount and presentation, and physiological elements of information display and placement have been quite well sorted out by fighter pilots.

I am in the process of preparing to purchase my fist motorcycle helmet. This high tech helmet looked interesting

Until . . . ..

I spent a couple hours reading the FAQs, blog and information from the folks developing the helmet.

While its and interesting idea ..... They are light years from reality with, what appears to be, both a half baked helmet and a half baked technical platform. The fact that they are attempting to hurry it, prior to being sorted out, to production is scarier yet.

I'm sticking with Arai and my dated, yet dependable, technical package.

Since the 2 numbers I'm most often concerned with are r.p.m. and speed, & honestly speed to avoid legal entanglement, I'm good with a plain helmet plus audio.

I can wait for the buck rogers gear to come down in price and up in reliability.

Heads up GPS would be nice.

We do have some interesting toys available. A friend is planning construction of a WW1 fighter replica, & I've talked him into a budget glass cockpit. It's now cheaper and more reliable than steam era gauges, and a cartoon of an original dashboard will cover the anachronism when on display.
