Thought you might enjoy this entry from from Lyndon Poskitt. He had some problems today. https://www.facebook.com/LyndonPoskittRacing

Dear stator, you are married to Regulator Rectifier and live next door to Flywheel who is married to Engine. You've been happy for some 80,000km / 8 years together. Things were bound to get funky the moment you tried to jump into bed with Flywheel. I know things hotted up a lot but lets face it, this was short lived. Now, you are both single, divorced from your long standing partners and your lives ruined. RIP my friends, let this be a lesson!

It was always going to happen one day but today is the first time in the 10 month history of Races to Places I have been stranded without the parts that I needed for a roadside repair, I have a stator but never envisaged it trying to weld itself to the flywheel and destroying that too. Thankfully, I called on the Orange network of friends and contacts and despite being in a very remote part of Laos, the parts should be here with the tools to do the job within the next few days, hand carried from Bangkok, Thailand. Awesome! In the meantime, stuck in this small village, I climbed some hills

Also, if you want to see a nice video, I really enjoyed his commentary on last summer's Mongolian Rally that he put together.
