This book mentions that he was Manager, Buell of Europe back in 1998.

I think he'll do just fine - for the stock holders and the MoCo,

I had excellent dealers with him when he was in Europe.

I consider this good news.

Maybe he will make a strategic investment in EBR...

Kinda like buying MV Agusta for 11ty billion dollars so you can sell it back to some Italian for $1.

Don't know or care much about anyone in HD leadership anymore, but he has a pretty impressive looking education background.
I'll take an ex-engineer over an accountant any day for CEO.
I'm a little biased though.

Buh-byye, Wandell, you ass_hat.

WHY couldn't HD brass figure out a way to market Buell MC all the way down to toddlers, bind the brand aspirationally to HD as a performance arm of the company, then build as diverse a product line as any of the Japanese competition has today? THEN SELL ALL THE STUFF LIKE HOTCAKES.

Arrgh. I've more to say expounding on the above rant, but, now I gotta take a dump.

It's the end of an era...
Don't let the door hit you in the head on your way out.
P.S.
What a douchebag that guy was.

It's been a long time since I looked for an anagram generator...

"Ha Lewd Tinkle"

LOL!!!

Then I read this:

"Matt's tremendous leadership abilities and track record, together with his drive for excellence and deep knowledge of the business, make him an outstanding choice as Harley-Davidson's next CEO," Wandell said. "He has been a driving force behind our focus as a customer-led organization... I have great confidence in the company's future under Matt's leadership."

"As we look to the future we believe there are tremendous opportunities to build on our many strengths," Levatich said. "...through our strategies to provide unrivaled products and experiences for our customers, we aim to extend our reach and work to realize our full potential as a growing global company."

Wandell, 65, became president and CEO of the Motor Co. in 2009 and was elected board chairman in 2012. "Keith has been a transformational and visionary leader who joined Harley-Davidson at a critical juncture in its history," said Richard Beattie, independent lead director. "He developed strong leaders throughout the company and at the same time transformed how Harley-Davidson does business."

Wandell declined to stand for election to another term on the Harley board of directors when his current term expires on April 25. At that time, Beattie will assume the role of board chairman."

I kinda wish I could go back to grade school, English class, and diagram all that on the chalkboard.

Hope the new guy does good.
