It probably doesn't seem like a photo page and a race report should occupy the same thread but I assure you it will make sense soon. I went to the 24 Hours of Daytona last weekend with my camera and came back with some shots. I might be biased but I liked what I came back with and apparently so did some other people. I walked a long, long, long lap (or is it slow slow slow?) between midnight and 3am. Around 2am I decided that the GTLM BMW Z4s had the best downshift flame spectacle. There were a couple Z4s but I have always loved a white BMW with the iconic M tri colors. So I focused on that car and syncing up with the drivers shift points as he entered the final turn of the infield. After about three laps I grabbed this one and am ever so happy with how it turned out. As luck would have it, I wasn't the only one and it ended up on the Flickr Explore page the next day. Explore is (IMO) a bast of from the thousands and thousands of photos that are uploaded to that site each day. To be included is quite and honor, especially considering I am not a photographer of any great consequence. So here is the Flickr Explore shot.
