Watching these kids rehearse, one wonders where they'll go with their talent! Somehow I see the little black girl on the drums in the back growing up and joining a band... Last year when it was still warm, I went to downtown Knoxvegas for the farmer's market on Saturday- there were several good street musicians, but one guy was playing the xylophone (vibraphone?) on the corner- I could've stayed there for an hour listening to him play, out in the open air on a sunny day... Super kudos to the teacher, using Zep songs and getting the class to REALLY appreciate music. I feel sad for kids/people who are never exposed to the GOOD stuff. My bartender only knows the jiggety-wiggety rap crap- from time to time I'm just amazed at the things he DOESN'T know, or has never heard. Truly sad! Oh well.
