Jeffrey Stewart, one of the three founders of ATL Courier, Inc has passed away this morning after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He's not a Bueller, or even a biker of any stripe. He has however, been instrumental in creating the world in which I now live. Back in 2010, he presented me with an opportunity. I took the ball and ran with it, spent 6 months learning my way around Georgia and physically doing deliveries. True to his word, after that trial period I was called up to dispatch the fleet of box trucks and tractor trailers. Fast forward to current time, and I'm the boss. I control everything and people who have been here over 20 years are answering to me. I love it here, and I have never made more money (legally) in my life. I have God and Jeff Stewart to thank for my current situation. Or maybe I just thank God for Jeff and leave it at that. Feeling kind of misty about it, I wish I could have gotten to know him earlier in life.

Sorry for your loss, Pwn... It's a fine few in our lives that truly prove their worth, fewer still that become priceless to us. I have three bosses like that where I am, similar story as to their effect on my life. RIP Mr. Stewart. |

It is difficult to lose a mentor, harder when they are very open and close to others. RIP Jeff Stewart |

Sorry for your loss. I believe that people come into our lives when they are supposed to. It's not the quantity of time, it's the quality of time spent with someone. Sounds like you made the most of your time while he was here on earth. May you find peace in the days to come. |
