Howdy All! I'd like to introduce the 3rd step in the (soon to be) patented BadWeB Re-Glitchification process: Christmas Cards for Glitch! This may seem odd coming from me as Christmas just doesn't have the magic that it did when I was younger, but I still send out Christmas Cards to those who are near and dear to me every year. I'm pretty sure that Mr. and Mrs. Glitch have probably already received the Christmas Card that I sent out just after Thanksgiving. Truth be told, this is not the first year that they've been on my "Thank you for being you and your contribution to my life" list. It's known that some people get down (and I'm not talking John Travolta getting down) during the holidays and it's also known that when someone isn't feeling well they're usually not in the best spirits as well. Not implying that Glitch or Ann are susceptible to it, but just think about the last time you got a piece of honest to goodness, USPS snail mail from a longtime friend and what it did for your mood. Heck, tonight I got a Christmas Card from a former elf and it definitely brightened my day! So, what I'm proposing is that we all flood the Hare mailbox with our cards - be it Christmas or otherwise - giving our well-wishes and tidings. While a typical 'get well soon' card is kind of long in the tooth, I'm certain the creativity and resourcefulness of Badwebbers is sure to produce some very intriguing, unique and uplifting greetings for these truly very special people. Anything just so Glitch and Ann have something tangible, visible, tactile that can keep them on the right track - getting Glitch re-Glitchified! I'm sure that what we send will only accelerate Glitch's recovery. For once, rather than sitting idly by on the sidelines being observers, we can be an active part of the process. Of course, anyone and everyone is welcome to post pictures of Glitch, words of encouragement, and the like on this thread and any of the other 'Glitch' threads on BadWeB, such as the following:  but having something sitting right there that is real will be a constant source for motivation. Know we all have been digging deep...... maybe we can find an extra dollar (or two????) to slip into those daily cards? Remember, TOGETHER we ROAR, as Ann reminded us..... Ya know, I used to live in a world where I drove or rode to work every day. The days I drove I stopped at Starbucks and got one of those fufu things that cost bazillion dollars (could afford it back then) -  But, if I were still in a position to be buying bazillion dollar coffee drinks, I would get the small and send the extra $2-$3-$4 whatever the hell it is now - to the Hares in my daily card. Just a thought TOGETHER WE ROAR. BTW: FB&D got their first card in the mail today.  | ||

Reading (or even just looking) materials! What an EXCELLENT idea Ferris! I'm gonna 'borrow' that one... Denise - good point! I would agree that a card a day from everyone may be asking too much, but then again this is for one of our own, our chosen family. Some real family members people do what they HAVE to for. Chosen family members people do what the WANT to for. In all actuality, it likely doesn't matter whether it's 1 or 19 cards that everyone sends, with the numbers on BadWeB that look out for their ilk, I'm positive the message will be received loud and clear - as well as the results that will come from it! Thank you Court, Crusty, Buellish, FB&D, Prior, and all those that are participating in the background! Thank you - in advance - to those who will begin to participate as well! Hi All! Sorry for my apparent absence but responsibilities at work have kept me more than tied up the past couple of days. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I do have some time to try to get back up to speed and to update you all. Thanks for covering for me Hugh, Mike, FB&D and Kristi. Feel free to jump in and assist at anytime Hugh! Or anyone else for that matter! The past couple of days have truly showed me how variable my 'free' time is, so any and all support with this is definitely appreciated! I got some mail ready to go out in the a.m. Unfortunately it's been a day or three for me, but that will change soon enough. I received a PM from Ann today thanking me for kicking this off and saying that it has definitely had an uplifting and positive effect on Glitch! Thanks everyone for posting your suggestions! 13 days... Now, you know I just had to be the one to say that, didn't ya? Now I realize the couple of blips we've seen from Glitch the past couple of days - a post here on BW one day and then a post on FB yesterday - can't be attributed solely to this card drive, but it's definitely contributing. So, thank you if you've participated, thank you in advance if you will be participating, and please do it if you are on the fence. OK, enough preaching - 13 days... This is true 1313 - EVERYTHING is contributing! He's doing his best to reach out and "talk" to the folks who have contributed in so many ways with prayers and good mojo. He's been so touched by the love and support and wants to make contact to let everyone know he's still kickin' and determined! He gets frustrated because it takes him so long to make even the simplest little post. But, I remind him that it's something that he couldn't do even last week. "Everyday a little better" is what I keep telling him. Each night, we go through Facebook and all the pages here and I read the comments to him. Everyday, he opens all the cards and packages that have arrived. Collectively, everything is keeping his spirits up and helping to push him forward. Keep roaring folks! We love you all! | ||

Oops...I've been slacking a little bit lately... We're down to single digits - 9 days folks! My regular USPS store was a madhouse today Man, as was mine yesterday! I was shipping off the banner from a recent Glitch auction and am super glad I decided to leave work early rather than attempt to ship during my lunchbreak. The good thing about simple cards and letters is that you won't need to interface with anyone at the post office (i.e. no waiting in line).
