Crazy radical left winger! .

LOL. I expect test results would vary depending on what kind of mood you're in when you take the test.

I don't know. I've taken it several times now with pretty consistent results. Perhaps I'm in a consistently foul mood all the time?

Somewhat, but it does a fair job of getting to your core principals.

I want government to control business as needed to keep greedy people from selling slaves, or killing people for organs for sale. ( Like in ISIS & Communist China ) Other than that, leave me the heck alone.

That kicks me left of the line. A surprise to me.

Speed limits, ok, telling me a 1200 cc motorcycle is too much and forbidden, no.

That kicks me south of the line, no surprise at all.

Try it and post your results.

I found it interesting where they placed Mitt Romney. He was way North I guess because of Romneycare?

That does capture the most common political perspective on this site... there are a lot of libertarian leaning pragmatic conservatives.

(Which, of course, is the correct view ; ) )

Looking at the international leader graphic on that poly compass page... It shows Obama as pretty far right of center - more right than I am (WTF?) Also shows Obama is more libertarian leaning that Mitt Romney. Although plausible, I find it pretty hard to believe the Statist in Chief has anyone more authoritarian than he is compared to his contemporaries.

Right. Who answered the questions for the "leaders"? Could they have an agenda? Were they using the "leader's" words or deeds as a guide when deciding how to answer for them?

Keep in mind the "leaders" did NOT take the test, but are rated by speeches.

On that basis, Obama IS more libertarian than Romney, And his score on the "right-left" axis indicates his public statements on government control of business.

However, as we have seen, Obama's connections with honesty are at best fleeting, and generally only of momentary convenience.

For example, "libertarian"? After illegally releasing sealed divorce records of his opponents, that one should be obvious. But if not.....

Before Barack was elected, his stand on Gay Marriage, was, ironically, the same as Blake or I. Not FOR Marriage, but for civil unions to end the inequity between hetro & homo long term "civil marriage" relationships... specifically, property rights, hospital visitation, legal responsibilities, etc.

He also promised to make Civil Unions the law, ASAP! Then did absolutely nothing until he needed a big infusion of cash before his re-election, so he then announced that his daughters had convinced him that gays are cool, based on their experience with their openly gay teachers at their exclusive, expensive, heavily guarded private school. ( nearly Obama's first act as President was to take away funding for the peasant scum D.C. residents, to go to that school. Don't want any of THEM near HIS daughters )

Then he finally ended Bill Clinton's immoral "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy in the military... which I applauded. ( the ending )

So other than lying to people to get money, Barry is as Libertarian as Marie Antoinette.

I bet if you went on actual policy decisions, Barack is much nearer Stalin than Blake.

As to the other public figures, they didn't take the test either.
