Throw every last Democrat bum out of office who voted for Obama's "Destroy America" agenda.

"Surely they would not be pleased with the dysfunction, partisan acrimony and public dissatisfaction that plague modern politics." Idiot. They wanted gridlock. That's why the system was set up the way it was. A gridlocked government can't pass BS laws. They're not gridlocked enough. A non-gridlocked government brought us the ACA. |

STIMULUS WORKS clip_image001 Oregon State University Athletic Director Bob DeCarolis was considering firing their Basketball Coach ... Craig Robinson. clip_image002 After all, they had an abysmal 8-11 start (2-5 in the Pac 10 Conference). When word reached Washington, DC the Undersecretary of Education … clip_image003 Martha Kanter, was dispatched to Corvallis, Oregon with $17 million in stimulus money for the university. Thankfully, Craig Robinson's job was safe for another year. clip_image004 Now comes the interesting part of our story . For those of you unfamiliar with Coach Robinson, he just so happens to be the brother-in-law of none other than our country's beloved President Obama. clip_image005 Yup...that's right! He is the brother of Michelle (Robinson) Obama! clip_image006 But hey, can't we all come to the conclusion that Coach Robinson's job security was all just a coincidence? I'm sure of it; aren't you? Thank goodness for 'The Stimulus'! But $17 million for one job? I wonder what mine is worth?!! If this doesn't anger you, nothing will ... remember to vote in 2014!!! On May 5, 2014, Robinson was relieved of his duties as Oregon State's head basketball coach. He was given a $4 million buyout of the three remaining years on his contract. |

Nothing new there. Most of the $1,000,000,000,000 went to friends of politicians. I sort of believed them when they said the money would go to 'shovel ready' projects, but since there weren't any such projects (permits, environmental impact statements, lawsuits challenging said impact statement, etc. take a few years to get through before you can actually start anything) and they had to spend it on something, it got pissed away on bullshit. Why not? That's what they do with most of our tax dollars anyway. |

Of course the new pricing won't be available until AFTER the election. That's when you will really get your sticker shock. |

He's already making excuses. "This is probably the worst possible group of states for Democrats since Dwight Eisenhower," Obama told WNPR radio in Connecticut Tuesday afternoon while polls were still open. "There are a lot of states that are being contested where they just tend to tilt Republican," said Obama, seemingly reconciling himself to a grim night for Democrats that could turn his final two years in the White House into a painful experience. http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/04/politics/election-da y-story/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 |

The big question, IF the (R)s take control of both houses this election, will BO be forced to learn to compromise, or will he simply be the party of no? I know where my money's at. |

There are some things he'll sign. Things he wants, but Harry won't send him. Don't count on him signing the bill to repeal ACA. Though, if he had a shred of decency, he would. Send me the bill to clean the coffee out of your keyboards. |

There are some things he'll sign. Things he wants, but Harry won't send him. Well, if the (R)s have both houses, Harry is irrelevant. Boy, that has a nice ring to it. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant. Harry is Irrelevant... |

I don't see him compromising. His predecessors have been, uniformly, more intelligent and in touch with what has to be done to get results. Few have "moved to the middle" to the degree Bill Clinton did. I chalked it up to the happiness and contentment of getting blown on a regular basis . . it could have been politics. The current imbecile is driven, and constrained, by an ego the office has never seen. He'll ride around on the jet . . . take money from the same folks he's raking over the coals for depriving the middle class of shit they should be given . . . they'll take the mother in law on some multi-million dollar trips and his ass is out of there and on the speaking circuit. |

There was one BIG shovel ready job that really was shovel ready. The Keystone pipeline. It would have directly provided good jobs beyond the simple construction of the pipeline to boot. It would have had many other benefits for the US too. Sadly... |

"There was one BIG shovel ready job that really was shovel ready." "I'm not clear where we disagree." Keystone didn't need stimulus funds to get built. I'm sure you didn't mean to imply that it did, but it sort of came off that way, given that your statement was in response to my post about stimulus and 'shovel ready' projects. |

I'm sure you didn't mean to imply that it did, but it sort of came off that way, given that your statement was in response to my post about stimulus and 'shovel ready' projects. That explains it. No, I didn't mean to imply that it needed stimulus money. It would have been a stimulus for the economy though, one that would have lasting stimulus. The road construction stimulus, which was most of the "shovel ready" projects would have either have been done anyway, or would have been done in the next few years. That simply shifted the need for resurfacing roads though. Suddenly the following few years didn't see the demand for road resurfacing projects because they got them done early with federal funds. Sadly that's only a good thing if you aren't paying for those federal funds. This was nothing more than a new way for the federal government to control how local money is spent, by filtering it through the federal government. Great one Reindog! "THE GOPFATHER" |
