Get out and vote! Never mind spouting your opinions on an internet forum; get off your ass and do what's necessary to effect a change. If there's nobody to vote for, there's always somebody to vote against. Not voting plays right into the hands of the people you really don't want running the show. If you're too lazy to vote, you deserve the government you get. |

Well said! whether my chosen candidates win or lose, I got the opportunity to make a choice. Elsewhere on the globe. riots can break out over election outcomes. That's rare to nonexistent here. Bloodless revolution every two years, as long as the integrity of the process is not compromised it should always remain so. (Message edited by mnscrounger on November 04, 2014) |

I voted a month ago. Democrats are a little slow for me but eagerly awaiting the casting of their votes on Wednesday. |

Voter Fraud and Voter I.D. By Thomas Sowell · Nov. 4, 2014 One of the biggest voter frauds may be the idea promoted by Attorney General Eric Holder and others that there is no voter fraud, that laws requiring voters to have a photo identification are just attempts to suppress black voting. Reporter John Fund has written three books on voter fraud and a recent survey by Old Dominion University indicates that there are more than a million registered voters who are not citizens, and who therefore are not legally entitled to vote. The most devastating account of voter fraud may be in the book “Injustice” by J. Christian Adams. He was a Justice Department attorney, who detailed with inside knowledge the voter frauds known to the Justice Department, and ignored by Attorney General Holder and Company. A Referendum on Competence By Charles Krauthammer · Oct. 31, 2014 Is this election really about nothing? Democrats might like to think so, but it’s not. First, like all U.S. elections, it’s about the economy. The effect of the weakest recovery in two generations is reflected in President Obama’s 13-point underwater ratings for his handling of the economy. Moreover, here is a president who proclaims the reduction of inequality to be the great cause of his administration. Yet it has radically worsened in his six years. The 1 percent are doing splendidly in the Fed-fueled stock market, even as median income has fallen. Second is the question of competence. The list of disasters is long, highlighted by the Obamacare rollout, the Veterans Affairs scandal and the pratfalls of the once-lionized Secret Service. Beyond mere incompetence is government intrusiveness and corruption, as in the overreach of national security surveillance and IRS targeting of politically disfavored advocacy groups. Read the rest and go vote these bastards who have already enslaved your children, out of office: http://patriotpost.us/opinion/30523 |

I live in Illinois, but I voted anyway. I have a 30+ year friend running for state rep. The (D) incumbent must really be worried because suddenly they have new yard signs out that simply say don't vote for the (R) if you don't want a tax increase. To be fair, she is running her campaign on having a balanced budget. From where we are now you would probably need spending cuts and higher taxes to ever approach a balanced budget. Those evil (R)s! This is a step up for the (D) who recently was bashing the (R) for her personal belief on abortion, that isn't even an issue at this level of politics right now. |

Don't want to bother with learning what the candidates say? Don't want to do your homework so you can have an informed choice? No problem. Vote for the guy not in office. You know the guy in office, the guy you pay out of your pocket, has been part of the system that has seen more people out of work, more people on food stamps, and more wars. So vote for the other guy. He at least hasn't screwed you yet. |

I just pray the elected Republicans remember they were elected because we want better leaders, not because we wanted Republicans, or in most cases even wanted the particular person we voted for (a few standouts not withstanding). A good leader won't always tell me what I want to hear. |

While it's hard to blame them directly, when a 14 year old crashes the family car into a telephone pole, do you blame the 14 year old, or the parent that handed them the keys? |
