Of the NPR show "Car Talk". These guys still crack me up in re-runs, but it just won't be the same knowing he's not around any more. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/11/03/360 340663/car-talk-co-host-tom-magliozzi-dies-at-77?u tm_medium=RSS&utm_campaign=artslife |

So sad. Been a rough month for people I don't know personally but that I like and respect. |

"Click and Clack. The Tappet brothers" My dad would listen to them in the car when I was too young to get all their jokes. He would laugh out loud and I did too later on. Perhaps the only truly wonderful thing to come from npr. |

Tom was "Click Tappet". I used to hang out at their garage back in the 70's in Cambridge. "Hacker's Heaven", later "The Good News Garage". Hacker's was a rent-a-bay/tools place. I was inspired to work for Lamb Lotus as a summer job; I lasted three weeks! It almost ruined my motorheadedness and hobby... |
