With other news always showing here that is not so good, I'd like to share that my wife and I are winding up a great trip flying to Pittsburgh to see the wife's sister of choice( who was so nice to treat us to a Johnstown Tomahawk Hockey season opener),then driving into the Boston area for a fortieth wedding anniversary trip. Took in a Boston Bruins game which the Minnesota Wild won, went to Lizzy Bordens house (who is my most absolute greatest heroine) , did Halloween in Salem ( we fit right in), and just miscellaneous running around. We are heading home tomorrow back to balmy, humid weather and leaving the freezing rain with those blessed to live here. All I can say is enjoy because we don't see anything like this till February. Maybe. anyhow, back to gulf coast, a great Pyrenees, a Australian shepherd and that four year old grandboy.
hope all had a great New Years yesterday, and best remembrances for those that have departed already before us for today. Take care and keep the Buells rolling!

Yep, in spite of it all, life is good. Right now I'm sitting in my RV a little south of Roseburg, OR on my way to Bellingham to see one new grandkid then off to Denver to see agnother.
On the way back to CA I'll stop in Pueblo to watch a foeotball game vs NMHU. There's a kid on the NM team that I used to take out to the desert to ride dirt bikes when he was just 10. Dang was he fearless. Stats show him now at 6'-4" and 285 lbs. Guess he's grown some.

Bottom line is that life is what you make it. I thank Obama for convincing me to close shop at 60 years of age and go out and enjoy life (after all, I didn't build that).
Thank you, Sagehawk , for reminding me what's important.

Man, that bellingham thing cut deep. We dropped out of alaska in 2010 and stayed in bellingham for two weeks, wife fell in love with the place. Ive sent several resumes up that way for jobs and got nowhere. Still in texas, but that area is where we would like to settle down. While your there, check out the Triumph dealer. He and i got to talking Nortons, Triumphs, buell, crap it was like ive never been in a shop that was small but enthusiasm was in the air. I xhecked out one ebr dealer here south of boston and one lady came up and talked very little. Guy behind parts counter never looked up from computer. I did ask how many ebr bikes they have moved and she said none. Three rx and one sx on floor. Was there a buell community in the area , she said yeah and then went and sat down behind counter. Is this a north east thing or just apathy? Anyhow, have a good trip and enjoy yourself with those grand kids!

well Damnut, your a lucky fellow to live in a famous town like that. one question, how in the heck do you get around? that's the craziest set of highways i've ever seen in the whole of Boston area. you can't seem to go anywhere without going out of way to somewhere else first. The ebr dealer I spoke of north of you was strange to find coming out of Boston. Good thing for smart phones and google maps.
I thought of posting of trip before we went but being 40th anniversary, wife had stuff she wanted to do and planned it pretty tight on time. I caught heck over not helping but I thought what better way for her to do all she wanted. Yeah, life gets that way. anyhow, home now and back to work tomorrow. Yipppeeee!
